I used it and it seemed fine. You don't have to go through all of the messed-up RPG Maker 2000 font problems.

Thirding this. Dunno if it'll make the best lp (though I think the game's style suits raocow pretty well) but I'm pretty sure raocow will really enjoy it.

I'm pretty sure he's played it before. I think he's referenced the King of All Cosmos a few times.

Bringing this up again because if it isn't played by raocow, my understanding of the world will be shaken and shattered. It will disprove a universe governed by physical laws. I'll lose faith so hard I'll find Anti-God and then lose faith in him. I'll abandon even the faculty of hyperbole, and then I'll be somewhat surprised, and also disappointed.

Because Rabi-Ribi and Iconoclasts weren't nearly enough!

(The written dialogue in the YouTube video is in Korean but is in English in the Steam video.)
fyi if anyone was considering this but wanted to wait until after early access, get it now; it's on sale, and they're gonna up the price at the end of month when it leaves early access

This is probably way too early to say, but from what I've seen Mario Maker 2 not only blows the original SMM out of the water and fixes all of its mistakes, but it might even end up being better than the current romhacking/smbx-ing tools for a lot of people. I'm sure there are some who will never ever get tired of the classic SMW engine or the SMBX engine and intend on keeping those alive no matter what, but I'm actually fairly hopeful in this new Maker engine becoming a perfectly viable option for future A-side content at some point.

That is, if there's an easy way to package levels into a set that can be played all together in some kind of seemless fashion. We don't know that yet. if it's not the case then it might only be viable for like a contest thingy once in a while. idk I guess we'll see. I'm certainly looking forward to playing the heck out of it and ruining my backlog progress!

Part of the beauty of romhacking has always been that you can do it, and play the results, on whatever computer or laptop you have. I really want a switch, but don't have one yet -- it's still a costly and closed console.

A Dance of Fire and Ice is a neat little rhythm game that promptly got me to pick up and start playing for myself after seeing videos of it a few times.

Not necessarily something you need to finish but could make a nice one-off.

Why does everyone just post random meme games that are nothing like raocow's kind of game here

Re: request grab-bag

by BobisOnlyBob
Because raocow used to play random assortments of meme games from time to time between longer projects, and also has real-lifecore silliness and the like. To be honest all the recent suggestions besides Chex Quest are reasonable, and that's absurd enough I can totally imagine it as a one-episode goof.
