Also I've been thinking about this lately and, even though it's probably been suggested 24601 times behind the scenes/in the Patreon Discord/in various other places I don't have access to, I'm going to vomit it out here anyway: I'd love to see a least one 3D Metroid get LPed, assuming All the Metroids isn't on the docket when All the Sonics ends sometime approximately five years before the heat death of the universe.
I would be surprised if raocow did All the Metroids as its own series, there is nothing oddball in the series other than a random pinball game and Other M.

Also also have Murder by Numbers as a more light-hearted suggestion if you ever wanted all of your followers to scream at past raocow while he plays Picross Wright for twenty minutes at a time. The VN aspect is genuinely cute and funny and actually feels like you're watching and listening to adults do various dysfunctional adult things.
Too bad that Picross S: Mega Drive & Mark III Edition is not part of All the Sonics due to not including Sonic in the title.

Murder by Numbers sounds like something my wife and I would enjoy playing together, I'm gonna have to check it out. Thanks.
Yes please do it's very good

I think Other M is a fantastically awful enough show for this crowd that it would warrant a full AtMs. But really, I'd be most looking forward to raocow's take on the visuals of the Primes.
Speaking of Metroid, I want to see him play more Super Metroid ROM hacks, especially the more notable ones like Super Metroid Redesign and Super Metroid Impossible. He only played one proper SM hack more than a decade ago (Metroid Legacy). B2-TW doesn't count.
You can like collection-gated exploration games and still dislike the ur-examples of said games (I enjoy the metroid games for what they are but I find that derivatives of the formula are far more to my tastes than the originals)
apologies in advance for posting about my own work, but since that exchange in the youtube comments it's been kinda on my mind and i'd at least want to ensure concrete awareness. So here's a brief overview of 2k1x Subzero Heroes, direct sequel to the once-played 2k16 Hypnosis Redo: A more jump-like smbx episode that does away with world structures, goombas, koopas and mario.
proof of quality:
the most prominent pieces of critique I've received for the project over the past month are ones about general difficulty, amazement over how this is all even possible in SMBX, and somewhat ridiculously elevated praise (here and there I occasionally hear of people who now consider this their favourite smbx episode, which is certainly flattering, but in my mind is certainly helped by the novelty, and the fact that it's one of the first episodes that actively tries to be its own thing). additionally, the episode kinda took over the speedrunning thread on the smbx forums, oops!
the game itself has 35 + 10 (boss) + 5 (bonus) levels (length usually making 1 or 2 level video most likely), physics that are less goo-ey than smbx's, a moderately high difficulty, and no split paths at all (except rarely within levels).
questions i still keep thinking about since the hypnosis redo lp:
grinding???
in subzero heroes, grinding may only ever be something to consider if you're truly dedicated to getting goodies that give a purely visual change and don't contribute to completion percentage/don't unlock anything getting frozen and softlocking, having to redo a bunch of stuff???
not only is the code in this episode better than that in hypnosis redo, but the game is also a lot more generous, permanently saving after every checkpoint, and saving optional collectibles immediately. after the patches i've done i haven't heard of anyone getting stuck anymore, but since checkpointing is generally frequent, the potential loss is minimal. there are also assist mode settings to help with that. postgame???
there's no postgame, and no levels equivalent in style to what grand chemo 666 was. reference humour????
massively reduced this time. names and appearances of many characters have changed to minimize references to people (some are still unambiguous), and the majority of jokes are self-contained (barring a handful of exceptions, most frequently relating to the characters i couldn't manage to make ambiguous). youtube content id music?????
likely, as there are like 90 songs pooled from all kinds of games. though i haven't had any claims on any of the videos i uploaded of the game yet... (100% stream, all bosses). to be honest i don't know too much about this stuff, so this one is really more of a warning.
i would have accepted "proof of quality im enjl" but maybe ive just hung around too long
