Touhou 18.5: 100th Black Market, was just announced, and tentatively it actually looks like it might be an okay introduction to the main series gameplay?

It's hard to tell from the preliminary information, but it sounds like a series of bite-sized shmup challenges where you can buy ability cards (a direct continuation of Unconnected Marketeer's system) to either power yourself up or give yourself ways to cheat the danmaku. Of course, it's up in the air whether this means it will be a nice introduction for a new player or a license to go absolutely bonkers with the difficulty.

Also in a series first, it sounds like Marisa will be the sole playable character. Can't believe Reimu has finally been dumped after all these years.

Having beaten this game recently, I can say that it doesn't really go into the sexist/racist/homophobic territory that I was worrying it might (besides one of the enemy types being obviously based on nazis), but I can also say that it's heavy emphasis on gore, gross out, and sexual stuff wouldn't really make for a good raocow game at all. Like, one of the levels is
