Watching raocow struggle with and overcome each challenge is the appeal of these videos. If he over-edits his videos to the point where it's little more than a death reel and then the final winning run you would lose the sense of progression. You need to see him bash his head at the wall and hear his thoughts for a while in order to really enjoy it when he finally succeeds.

Maybe you do but a lot of us find that really boring. For the last two rooms of Minimal/Maximal or however you spell it I watched a grand total of like 5 minutes of each because it quickly gets extremely boring because he's just doing the same basic thing over and over again. And this is coming from someone who skips ahead in videos quite rarely.

same, i found the first two levels hard to watch through but the third level i just quit & watched like the very end and nothing else & didn't watch much more of the boss. it wasn't fun to watch, none of it was.

Yeah, Hack 4 is awesome. I finished it a couple of days ago. It unfortunately ditches the story of the previous games (although that is probably a pro for some), but the gameplay is solid. Maybe a good palette cleanser before TSRP2R?

My suggestion re: the Mega MegaMan Marathon: I'm for it and would be ok if it was all back to back to back, but I think what may work better is breaking it up every few games, with a (maybe short) series in between, then come back. So like MegaMans 1-3, an intermission series, 4-6, intermission, 7-Megaman & Bass (my friend insists this be included), intermission, then cap it off with 9 and 10. Maybe throw in Wily Tower from Wily Wars in somewhere?

Someone also mentioned maybe alternating every other B-side. Mega Man, other thing, Mega Man 2, other thing, Mega Man 3, other thing, etc.

Also I'd recommend if you DO do Mega Man & Bass, you do Rock Man & Forte insteads. You don't get the English translation, but it was only ever ported to GBA, and like most SNES games ported to GBA, the screen is zoomed in and you can't tell what the hell is going on.

You overestimate people's ability to actually watch videos before liking and leaving.

The amount of people who click a 3 minute raocow video, don't watch it, and click like are going to be completely negligible in the scoring.

People are pretty awful at following directions though, lol. Not that I particularly care in this instance though. So long as it's not every MegaMan game in a row without any breaks it's fine with me whether it happens or not.

If you wanna do something different for MM1/MM2, there are PC Engine conversions floating around the internet as a demo for someones' NES2PCE conversion tool (though it seems they got taken down in favour of a homebrew port made from scratch). I guess there's also Wily Wars for 1/2/3 as well. Actually, this is all moot, since there's Mega Man Legacy Collection. Derp

Would you consider doing more than 1 stage per video? The levels in a lot of the classic Mega Man games are pretty short. And especially with the ones you're familiar with, we'll probably end up with like 4 minute videos in a lot of cases.

but honestly I think having small videos in a c-side would make sense. Like I was made clear that some peeps just are into the classic megamans, so that would sidestep this by making it completely optional...

I didn't care for the Mega Man X LPs so I wouldn't watch this, but if it's a C-side then sure, go for it. A short C-side series does seem the best way to make everyone happy.
