I mean yeah, he's not gonna be able to complete starworld and some of m/m's levels (at least not without tools), but the rest of the game should be fun

JUMP is hard.
Basically it reaches endgame ASMT difficulty by like world three and stays there all the way up to world seven before it makes a final effort and goes into kaizo difficulty for worlds eight and nine. It's possible to beat everything without tools, you just have to be patient and be ready for really, really long playing sessions / one level videos / videos where you'd only play up to the midpoint or something
It's definitely harder than the stuff you played in recent years, maybe kinda like S. Mario or something? But not as frustrating... It's hard to explain

It's still really, really fun though I swear

Also, if you played VIP2 toolless right beforehand you should be good to go

Edit: After watching S.Mario again I realized that the comparison doesn't work. It's not that kind of difficulty. I guess we'll see what happens

JUMP is fantastic, it's seriously a candidate for being my favourite romhack ever.
But as was said, it gets hard quickly, and the endgame requires a lot of dedication. Going through MGU3 -> VIP2 -> JUMP is a good idea as it'll give you time to rebuild your skills.

Desunoya recycles the same tiles and sounds in every game, which makes sense when you're an actual, non-kickstarter injected independant developer

Sorry to highjack the discussion, but I do want you to know that some people do appreciate there being hacks meant for experts. I enjoyed almost every level in this hack, even

1F8, altough I had more fun with anonymousbloodlusts previous level B-side

, and want you to realize that it's impossible to make a game that appeals to everyone simultaneously.

But this kind of opens up a proble. So normally the next video would be Vip2, but horikawa told me earlier this week that she would be done this weekend, which would be just... slightly too late. So either I do Jump before Vip2, or I can play a tiny 2-3 video hack in between? If the latter, anyone got suggestions ?

This may not be a hack, and it may only last for a video, but it would be kind of interesting if raocow played Tower of Heaven. It's a small flash game that I enjoyed a lot, and sometimes I play it from time to time.

Other short things...Super Mario World: Call of Cthulu? I saw a video some time ago, and I was impressed with the setting.

The issues of VIP2 do not become apparent until like world 7 or 8... maaaybe world 4. You should be fine to just transfer your save.
