Hi, I know I'm new here, but I'm looking for people willing to help with level design for a game I'm currently making. For those who haven't seen me on Youtube, I make tutorials for a program named Multimedia Fusion 2 and this is what the game is being made with. HOWEVER, it is so close to SMW physics that I can use a rom hack with levels designed.
With the introduction done, I'd like to ask the people of the talkhaus to help me with designing levels for the different worlds in the game. I will give credit to everyone that designs a level that I use. There are a few physics I haven't perfected yet, such as holding items, but I'm hoping to find support here to get me into working on it again. I will post a list of physics (both done and in progress) along with worlds I plan to use so people can choose what to design for.
Physics:
Walking (Done)
Running (Done)
Jumping (Done)
Ducking (Done. Crawling is done too, though not a SMW mechanic)
Wall Jump (Done)
Health System: Hearts or Health Bar (Done)
Goomba/Green Turtle and Bullet AI (Done)
Swimming (Usable, but could use more work)
Holding Items (In Progress)
Item Physics: Gravity and Momentum (In Progress)
Sliding (In Progress)
Slopes (In Progress)
Jumping on Enemies (Done)
Spin Jump (Done, even bouncing on certain enemies)
Power Up System: Normal Mario style (Working, but not perfect)
I know there's not a lot there that is done, but I wasn't originally going for a SMW clone. I was going for something similar to the Wario Land series, but I'll go for SMW clone if it means getting level design help and finishing the game.
Worlds:
Dark Forest (Think Forest of Illusion, but darker palette and more sinister feel.)
Ice World (Nothing special thought up on this one yet.)
Fire/Lava World (Again, generic idea.)
Water/Beach World (Just an idea. Depends on if swimming can be made better.)
That's all I got for now. I hope I get some volunteers for this. Any questions or comments are welcome. To answer an important question, raocow did give me permission to post this here.
Edit: This doesn't seem to be a popular idea or I placed it in the wrong section for this sort of thing. This will likely be like Super Marisa World, but better controls and little to no touhou references. In fact, I don't even know what sprites I'll use for it. If anyone as sprites they think I should use (sprite sheet or lots of single frame pictures), then I'd gladly look into it and credit the maker. If a mod knows a better place to put this thread, then please move it. raocow gave me choices and I think I chose wrong.
Edit 2: Most simple mechanics done now. If anyone has suggestions or noticed a mechanic I missed, please tell me so I know to work on it.

Re: Level Designers Needed (for a game I hope raocow will LP
Well,I make games too,but I am not that good at level designing.Or am I?I don't know.Still haven't made any games with levels yet.(Yet...)BUT I'll be glad to see your game finished...and mmmm try it out.And Im glad that the game is gonna stick to itself without references.(Or is it?Are you gonna make any?)Cuz games with references to things that are all over the internet(Like Touhou and K-ON)...Well...it kinda makes the game a bit more dull.A good reference will be perhaps to something old that is going to be forgotton...or something like that.I've got no idea what Im a trying to say here.
But...yeah.Will be glad to check it out. :)
