HUB - Dumbwaiter & Elevator, Second Floor, Laboratory: Wow, that is one tedious elevator. Joke or not, there's no way I'm going to take that over the dumbwaiter any day (unless I ever do an actual LP rather than a text-based play-along). Music is chill, though.
Now, the second floor is full of more cameos and stuff (including one very prospective level contributor), but otherwise is pretty much like the first. However, the laboratory is a pretty neat way to view EoW cutscenes again in case you missed something therein, though being booted back out into the overworld is an unfortunate side effect. I hope there's going to be a way to fix that soon--maybe an update to LunaDLL? In any case, though, it's no big deal.
CoNS - UST and Serac's Ad Spot: Gotta love Serac scoring one for the Talkhaus team. We can always appreciate some more effort and fresh talent here! As for the UST, I don't think that's much of a reward since it's available from the very beginning. Maybe something like those cheats pages and easter egg videos we used to have for ASMBXT before the Talkhaustrophe would've sufficed instead? Eh, I just feel that there could've been something better for our efforts so far, especially since the next door over won't open for a while.
900 Place Des Ormeaux (Demolition): First of all, that's a real place in the title? Man, I sure hope nobody uses this to find and mob raocow in his natural habitat!
Anyway, I thought the intermission with Nevada was pretty cute. Despite him being one of the antagonists for this episode, I can't help but feel happy helping him collect his beloved plants and get home in time for his favorite TV show. Granted, he is a resprite of Iris here, and the next cutscene puts those warm fuzzy thoughts into doubt, but for now he's a nice guy to play as.
Start of World 5 Cutscene: City City Something Something I Don't Know FAT CHILDREN (Demolition): Oh man, Science already has plans to capture Demo and Iris with the help of the other siblings. Too bad Pandamona wasn't meant to be involved here, but what can you do about someone who wears a box? Meanwhile, Nevada turns out to have a rather creepy obsession with eating families and their children. Kinda makes sense, though, since he's a plant-dude; it's probably to pay them back for their eating so many of his own kids.
Dyin' For an Electrifyin' (Sturg): Okay, now to the main event. This stage makes some good use of the electrified water trap and several devious firebars to make for a fast-paced journey through a flooded old building. Of course, there are a few tight spots in the second half where things get a little too hectic (such as the one where you have to both dodge a firebar and get out of the reverse-gravity water before the sparks fly), but otherwise it's an intense level that would be right at home in an action platformer like this. The leek wasn't too hard to get either, especially as Kood. I'd say this is an epic way to start off our city tour.
