I will agree that in a direct comparison I would have placed Too Many Rivers above Flying Space Fish, but hey. In the scope of 134 levels, there's going to be a degree of uncertainty. You can't take placements totally literally, but more as a general idea of where your level is compared to others. Especially in the lower rungs.

I was thinking about this, and it really isn't fair to the judges to be assessing levels in the videos being all "well, this clearly was better than that one". I mean, seeing them side-by-side makes it "obvious", but you never know how much space they had in between rating them. Generally, the placement seems fair enough. Quibbling over a few spots in the order isn't really worth it (unless something REALLY sticks out).

That being said, it'll be interesting to so how bad tomorrow's level is and your response your score.

...okay, fine. All I can say is that without Septentrion's levels, that quote there wouldn't have been possible. I especially liked that 'again' added after a slightly longer pause near the end.

But yeah, otherwise, I suppose it's bad for raocow and all, so... yeah. Guys, stop being so good at videogames, what you find easy might not actually be easy for others, especially since creators are naturally biased when considering their creations due to actually knowing their ways around those...

Most of my SMBX levels so far are significantly easier if you routinely take hold of each Koopa shell you find, since I'm sure to provide an opportunity right away to throw it to kill enemies, which could be more difficult to kill otherwise. If someone doesn't have a habit of grabbing everything they can, my levels might seem harder!

This reminds me. Seeing raocow hunting those lakitus down in Too Many Rivers sure fills me with hope he might actually be sharing that strategy!

I suspect it'll be the angriest raocow has gotten on a project since New SMW2.

Ok, this is a really scary thought since I really can't remember any worse reaction on his part than that of that one world 2 bonus level (maybe MariAri? I don't know, I haven't watched it).

So not even a combination of tanooki/horse/godmode cheese will save him there? Heavy Water had... well, water where you had to mash jump or else you just fell and that's an instakill, and it was broken somewhere in the middle so that a platform that should be solid wasn't so it wasn't actually beatable.

SMBX doesn't have a 'walk on pits' cheat, does it?

Fun thing about Septentrion. He's been a favourite to mention in this contest.

I can think of three levels, off the top of my head, that have referenced him by name or with level elements.

I suspect the prevalence of the word "fluffy" was a conspiracy to encouraged this. It's nice to hear that they scored well enough to make it this far.

I am quite disappointed at the troll levels, as they are not very inspired. SMBX would be the prefect medium to use if I wanted to make a troll level on purpose. AUS's level is something that would have worked even in SMW.
