Mindcrack UHC Season S18

Spending so much gold on a thing might not be as good idea for larger teams.

This is a thing Froze, BBB, and I were talking about when we played a Reddit UHC, specialization would probably be good in a team having a player who could tank a tonne of hits when the rest of the team either flanks or takes potshots at them could be invaluable. So maybe rather than getting everyone on the team a small bit of diamond armor you put all of your diamonds and most of your levels into one guy having as good of armor as possible.

I love how Beef just turned into the harbinger of death at the end of this season. That, plus the way MC's videos had a sort of Chekhov's Gun going on with sheep. I love stuff like that.

Man, this season was great! I might be biased because all but one and a half of the perspectives I watched got a kill before dying (Pak's pit trap counts for half of one, I guess) but it also really didn't ever calm back down and drag on once people started dying. That, and the two perspectives I watched who didn't get a PVP kill (Pak and Bdubs) had INSANE PvE to deal with in their later episodes, to where it felt less like a struggle for survival and more like a sideshow act. Everything stayed really interesting~

Watch Chad's episodes. In his first major UHC, both his teammates got killed off and, after one teammate helped him pull off a bona fide Houdini before dying, he was left to die in the nether with an army of hostile pigmen and a trapped nether portal. I was definitely rooting for him...

and then he made it out.

And then he happened to back into tall grass while using the flint and steel.

NOW I'm rooting for Guude. Chad did really well though, all things considered.

In general: yeah, there's some great action going on. It's another really enjoyable season so far.

I feel like Chad should have just let himself burn up to deny Vekkus the enchanting table.

I'd have to disagree. Chad's one shot at survival at that point was the water that Vechs placed for himself, and the only way to reach it was by going through Vechs. I mean, yeah, it was a long shot for sure, but it at least had better odds than giving up.

Admittedly, I've never understood why it was good to make your death spiteful in the first place, and it's apparently a valid strategy too, so I could just be missing something here.

Well, now we come to the close of another season of mindcrack UHC, GG all.

this episode was way longer than it should have been, nebsy's team had a clear advantage about 3 minutes in and pretty much nothing changed for the next 10 minutes and was just waiting for the moment that they would just frikken MOVE in.

The setup looks really interesting.

If there are two huge teams split up on small groups around the map, it would mean that they will get an advantage for finding friendly groups and getting the team together before opponent. I'm not sure how they can do that, without risking running into opposing teams.

Also if someone is left alone after getting attacked, they will have better chance to recover.

MCGamer is half blind. I'm not sure, if it is going to be more good than harm to use that thing. He won't be seeing the keyboard, but the field of view might be wider. He probably will see details better too, since the screen is closer to his face.

They should honestly introduce a grace period into their games, because being Guude here or being Dinnerbone isn't fun. Granted, in reddit UHCs the grace period is usually second day or 20 minutes, but maybe for Mindcrack they could make it 40 minutes at least so that a person can get out two full episodes at least bare minimum.
