Man, that sprite flickering...Yikes.
Also, do not worry, Leet, I don't think rao actually believes the game is over after falling in that notpit!

Good to know you got the remaining items. I'm kind of a completionist so seeing you miss stuff was driving me crazy.
Also:
If you do that, you'll have all the items you need! (DON'T suck up Eddie. Just don't. You'll feel good in the end. Trust me on this.)

Today's music:
Intro Stage from Ninja Cop Saizou.
It's the Japanese version of Wrath of the Black Manta for the NES.
Yeah, it's another case of different soundtracks in different countries, a la Sonic CD or BioMetal on the SNES
Oh, and speaking of BioMetal:
Have a few tracks from the JP soundtrack
And here's
one track from the American/European soundtrack, just as an example (I seriously can't tell whether this is the worst music choice ever or the best music choice ever)

I appreciate the fact that the Gradius section appeared to have enemies drop stuff when you kill an entire group of them.
But with the way it handles midpoints couldn't you just stay on the much-faster-than-Rush Balloon after your first death? Or would that vanish going through the door at the end or something?
Horikawa Otane wrote:Nope. Facial hair is gross.
That's your opinion. I don't feel like writing a novel about how wrong it is at the moment, but rest assured it's pretty incorrect.

I'm not sure what was up with the flicker for that stage. I think I might do another quick mini-upload pending my result of that section isn't as iffy as yours. I only remember the boss having the ridiculous amount of it, not the Tengu Man-wannabe section.

Employment and shaving are very much intertwined, even when it's not allowed.
In the military, unless you have a very specific job, you can't have a beard. I have not seen someone with that exception before.

I'm studying to be a counselor and, eventually, a psychologist. We're almost expected to have a beard of some sort, haha.

I don't mind facial hair unless it's on my own face. If it is, it just kind of bothers me some whenever my chin touches things (including pillows, so that's not really as rare as it may sound.)
I'm late on noticing this, but that Scarfy Up'N'Down from back in Pharaoh Man's stage was unexpected. Somehow I never knew it would react that way until now. Cool.
Also, for once the rampant spoilers people are throwing at you are actually kind of working out not too bad. Mostly because you probably wouldn't have even discovered the "additional items" function of the dust buster at all, except maybe until you used it on a Met.

I forgot to do the bosses yesterday while I was being all "huhhhh?" about the ending, so yesterday's bosses are in italics.

Don't forget about
Gamarn & Gamadayu that was at the start of Toad Man's stage!

I just wanna say I love the boss theme for the cossack levels, Its a pretty great 8 bit rendition of that song.

Cossack 3 was a pretty long stage when I saw Dectilon and Phiggle doing it, so you might want to set aside some time for that one in your next recording session. I didn't have that much luck with it myself when I tried it, but that was the 0.01 version.
Speaking of the 0.01 version, those purple platforms above where the second Wire power-up was didn't exist back then. That made getting up to the room where Eddie was not so fun.
Edit: Also, I have no clue why Mega looks like he's in the background in some of your videos, like the very last part of today's vid and the Toad Man fight. That's not supposed to happen.

Not really, Phiggle is just bad at Mega Man.
It only took me 11 minutes with a few deaths and some balloon abuse.

Today's music:
Level 5 - Resistance Base from Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom (don't worry rao, there's no Percy in this hack)
And because I forgot about it last time, Cossack boss music is
Ogura's second theme from Stafy 3

I'm pretty sure the water is supposed to obscure your view, making it a little harder to move around. At least, it was for me when I played this with FCEUX. I think the Toad Man fight just glitches out when you get back to normal from frog-form.
