Megaman Rock Force - For Great Justice!
Going by the first video, raocow's certainly enjoying this game so far.
Also, creative use of the ricochet mechanics.
I vote Dr Doom next. (Well, that was a good thing raocow avoided him then!)
1 - the king living in the shadows
2 - some electrical slide reference
3 - the beauty of nature
4 - point blank joe
5 - a level about squares
6 - resident evil
7 - average red warping hood
8 - tumbling along with racist wagons
9 - it was all a ________
"What a Tweest!"
10 - double dealing characters
11 - tingling terror sense
12 - in this video I fight Flare Man
13 - everybody mosquito (remix)
Looks like one more fusion to top things off.
14 - straight up kicking it
15 - early good times
16 - yetisburg
17 - FINAL - green containers

*Ominous boss music as raocow laughs*
This is gonna be a good series.
The reflection gimmick I quite liked though it was just the tiniest bit under-implemented, the puzzle with the met made me grin especially.
Looking forward to Crypt Man the most methinks.

Original Man do not steal.
In all seriousness, the interesting take on reflecting the bullets around the screen already being used in the intro stage is rather promising to see what other gameplay mechanics/puzzles are going to be used in the future.
Also fight everybody except Shock Man.

Charade Man? Because yes, in the future, it is important to build robots that can play charades... How else would Christmas parties work?

According to the backstory on the website (Yes, there's backstory.), Charade Man was created to stand in for actors in plays and/or movies. Apparently he's bitter that he can't add his own flair on the roles.ztarwuff wrote:Charade Man? Because yes, in the future, it is important to build robots that can play charades... Re: Megaman Rock Force - Young Justice!
For a dude that's tired of playing Mega Man lately, I have to say I sure did speed on over to watch the first video once I saw it was put up. Hmm. I've never actually seen this one, so all of this is blind to me, too!

You know rao could always use on of them online poll things for who to do.

Re: Megaman Rock Force - Young Justice!
I played this game a couple of weeks ago, and although I don't really feel qualified to give Academic Analysis of Gameplay, I guess I might be able to point out some interesting stuff.
For example, the second-to-last switch in the intro stage (that raocow hit by reflecting a bullet off a metool) can also be hit by spawning Rush Coil, jumping off of it and using normal pellets, which is nice if you've already killed the metool and don't feel like respawning it.
The bosses in this game have some good ideas associated with them, but unfortunately most of them have simple AIs that essentially randomly pick attacks from a pool, so you could have one battle where one of them mixes up their attacks in a tricky way, or another battle where they just repeatedly jump or repeatedly do one attack and you kill them easily.
So, I'm looking forward to this series as an excuse to actually post things instead of just lurking.

He doesn't really listen to the votes anyways so it seems kinda a moot point.Pholtos wrote:You know rao could always use on of them online poll things for who to do.

More like selfinsert character, the character.dr_kraid wrote:Backstory? More like cack story!
I don't see any self-insertworthy of the already zeerustic robot designs megaman has. I liked Day in the Limelight, but so far, anything else megaman is unappealing to me. It's just not my series.
Re: Megaman Rock Force - Young Justice!
Man, watching a megaman Lp without SimplySimon in it almost feels weird now.
poor originalcharacter man got murdered by voltman from megaman DOS. If the rest of the bosses look half as great as he did, this is gonna make for an interesting LP.

Re: Megaman Rock Force - Young Justice!
I've heard that this is a pretty high-quality fangame, but haven't seen anything of it. Very exciting!
If Hall Monitor Man isn't controlled by Dr. Wily or turns against Mega Man at some point I will be very upset.

Re: Megaman Rock Force - Young Justice!
Honestly, that sounds like a good thing to me. When that's the case, you need to rely on reflexes more in order to win, but if they stick to a pattern you can win just by doing the exact same thing every time and it gets boring. (see: over half of the cast of MM7 or even Unlimited, to a lesser extent)Leylite wrote:The bosses in this game have some good ideas associated with them, but unfortunately most of them have simple AIs that essentially randomly pick attacks from a pool, so you could have one battle where one of them mixes up their attacks in a tricky way, or another battle where they just repeatedly jump or repeatedly do one attack and you kill them easily.
Of course, you're going to rely on reflexes for any boss the first time you fight them, so I guess as far as the LP goes it's a moot point. I like replaying my Megaman games though, so I really like bosses that are random like that!
It rubs me the wrong way a little bit that the robot masters are largely based on electric/computer/science-y stuff but I feel like there's a plot that makes it that way for a reason and hopefully that won't make it as bad.
Anyway, this looks like it could be promising. Let's hope it actually is!

Re: Megaman Rock Force - Shocking Reveal!
Okay, being able to just milk items out of that one power seems a little... uh... broken. Maybe it's just me and perhaps something else balances it out, but I can't help but think it's just a liiiiiiittle overdoing it.
Because Touhou OCs can in fact exist, sounds fake I know.

Re: Megaman Rock Force - Shocking Reveal!
So is milking Eddie for potentially getting a bunch of extra lives/E-Tanks (Or just plain ol' energy capsules when in a pinch) whilst using an easily refilled weapon energy bar every stage an actual thing or is it by far not broken as I'm interpretating it?
Also I thought Megaman Unlimited had huge stages.
Also Also fight Virus Man last.

Re: Megaman Rock Force - Shocking Reveal!
The only way I can imagine it being balanced is if the levels are incredibly hard or long. We've seen long kind of today.
Also in the midst of a boss battle it might be a tad hard to use, so there's that.
We'll have to see~

Re: Megaman Rock Force - Shocking Reveal!
Yeah, Eddie in this game seems a tad too useful compared to his official versions. If it were, to say, take half of his energy meter per use, then it might be more balanced compared to Tango and Rush, but we haven't seen raocow made much use from the both of them.
