It's a short hack I'm working on, you see.

Are you now? Neat. Mayhap once your work on it is complete I might give it a spin~ Right now I'm obviously busy with two projects but there's always the future stuff. :D

To everyone, I has a question: How does one go about deciding what to LP? There have always been old games that I'd love to LP, but fear that people already know these games fairly well and would scoff at the idea of seeing them again. Stuff like Diablo, Shining Force, ect.

And then there are new, commercial games that come out that I think would be interesting to do a blind LP of. Good idea? Or are commercial games just LPed by too many people at once when they first come out to be interesting?

Lemme hear your thoughts, I sincerely wanna know what an LP community like thisaone thinks.

Really it's all up to your personal tastes when deciding what to do for an LP. Of course, you can ask your viewers for suggestions, but keep in mind what you really enjoy. Personally, for my LP's, I'll be doing mainly blind runs of old games I may have missed out on, and if I'm able to, I'll LP games that I'm more acquainted with. Some people do enjoy blind runs over walk-throughs; it depends on what demographic you aim towards. But anyway, good luck with your LPs and have fun doing them.

However, LPing new games withing the month they are released usually isn't a good idea. Give it some time.

this is my philosophy as well

I was joking about that, but now I really want to create that hack so look forward to it.

And do it without tools.

Oh I don't use tools : ) Don't know whether you're joking there or not but yeah.

And as for your hack, just don't make it difficult and I'll LP it!... I'm getting really bored of having to solve all these puzzles in Fatal Mario.

And to everyone else, thanks for the advice! Although, kilon, I would wonder why one should wait about a month before LPing a new game?

Because you should give people the time to play it for themselves. And if you LP it right away, it may look like you LP it only to be on of the first to actually LP it. Which isn't nice.

Actually it doesn't really matter and it is up to you, but I prefer to see some time in between release and LP.

Depends on how you define difficult. Not kaizo, but very hard.
