Re: Pokota finally records a blind run... kinda
I'm streaming Final Fantasy VIII on Thursdays, 8:00 PM Eastern to whenever I finish for the night (I typically go for an hour)
VODs do get mirrored onto YouTube.
I don't want to know plot stuff (I know bits and pieces already, but not enough to be spoiled). Mechanics are okay, but don't tell me anything about what Guardian Forces are available or what abilities they can learn - that stuff I want to find on my own as well.

Largely posting this to make myself do something resembling productive today.
1) Generate video (ZMBV for Dos games, Lagarith otherwise)
2) Generate Avisynth script containing visual/audio edits
3) Generate SubStation Alpha script containing subtitles
4) Update edits as needed
5) Preview edits+subtitles in MPC-HC
6) Encode H.264+AAC+libass in an MP4 container
7) Upload to YouTube

FF8: I knew something like this was coming but damn it was still awesome to see for the first time
And now for something new: DEATH MONTAGE! I'm now saving my deaths in my projects and rolling them all into one video! Here, have the first Death Montage!

Re: Pokota's LP Thread [Dark Ages, Final Fantasy 8]
This is in the opening post, but I'm copypasting it here for perusal.
Got a mix of styles going on across my videos.
My older stuff (2013 - 2015) is primarily Spoken Commentary. HD is rare.
Nail'n Scale
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Thing (NOTE: Minimal hearts)
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (NOTE: Avoiding the Jet Potion as much as probable)
Jill of the Jungle
Wandering Hamster (NOTE: Unfinished as of 3/27/2016)
Hocus Pocus (NOTE: First series with substantial post-recording editing)
Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
Faxanadu
Sonic CD (Steam version)
First attempt at the Palace of the Four Sword (Link to the Past GBA port)
Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge (Guest-starring some friends from raocow's talkhaus)
Newer stuff (2016 - present) is primarily Subtitled Commentary. Starting with Dark Ages, there's also an accompanying Death Montage with each game/series. HD is a bit less rare.
Commander Keen: Invasion of the Vorticons (NOTE: First subtitled series)
Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure (NOTE: First series with substantial editing via Avisynth)
Dark Ages
I also archive my Twitch streams on YouTube. Right now my ongoing stream series is my first run through Final Fantasy 8.
Final Fantasy 8 ACTIVE PROJECT; Thursdays at about 8:00 PM Eastern, over on my twitch channel (NOTE: This is blind so no spoilers please. Also episodes 1 and 11 are missing; 1 was never recorded and 11 was lost due to OBS crashing 3 minutes in and me not noticing)
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (NOTE: Steam Day 2, Pirate Mode, pseudo-speedrun)
Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django (NOTE: On Hold, I think my game save disappeared)
One-off streams

Re: Pokota's LP Thread
The Death Montage for Commander Keen 5 is up.
Also, as a note if anyone's interested: Due to personal commitments I'm going to not be doing a regular LP for the month of June. I will however start streaming twice a week to compensate (day and time to be determined; once I pin down the when I'll announce that).

Re: Pokota's LP Thread
Commander Keen 5 is finally out of dispute hell. The dispute was rejected, so you'll need to dismiss the advertisement.

Re: Pokota's LP Thread
The last Final Fantasy 8 stream is up. I didn't win, I'll be finishing on my own time, then going back once I have a workable strategy and recording that.
So, with that said, my next block of streams will be Might and Magic 7: For Blood and Honor. I'll be streaming both endings with the same party composition, but I'm leaving the party composition up to a poll. So please vote in the poll.
(For those interested: I converted my Steam!FF8 saves to a format that BizHawk can read and already verified they load/save properly, so when I do go back for the finale of FF8 it'll be using PSX!FF8 instead of Steam)
