Well there are a lot of other pipes that try to fake you out and just end up leading to other bonuses

But it's kind of put in a really random place.
?
It's not that hidden.
Really. There's like, two or three pipes that actually serve a purpose and one is at the end. So I don't know why one would be confused from that. And you can actually see the floating platform with the pipe with the Tanooki Suit in it if you jump left from where the mid-point is. And I wouldn't say it's put in an really random place, since the pipe with the secret Tanooki (which you don't really need but it's useful the 1st time finding it) is placed before the actual exit which you can use the tanooki suit in order to find. It's not placed like right at the very end just because the creator could.

But yeah, the secret ain't that hard to find yo.

Yeah, especially compared to the secret exit of a certain world 8 level that will remain nameless.

I know I didn't find it. I'm counting on you to reveal it for me.

At the moment this game is looking rather uninteresting. I'm thinking that might be because the levels were just placed based on their difficulty and that the plain, empty and overall boring levels ended up being the easiest ones as well. Though they also managed to end up being overly long for the little amount of challenge they provided, and so it seems like World 1 is dragging on far longer than could possibly be fun. A lot of it looks like it was rather lazily made too, lacking any visual distractions to make it seem a little less bland, and I remember spotting at least one error in the text boxes so far. Though I'm not familiar with SMBX, so I don't know how difficult it is to work with, as a whole the project seems to fall flat in pretty much every aspect except the soundtrack, which has been pretty nice.

Those are my first impressions of this game, based on what I've seen in the videos so far. I'm hoping it picks up quickly and significantly.

It does. There are some great levels later on that I've played. I remember someone saying World 3, and I'd agree that that's where things really pick up.

I've got 3 levels in the late game that are guaranteed to be interesting! Also there is Jolpe's 3 levels, Frozelar's 3 star level, pholtos' tunnel, and the SAJewer's levels I played that I know from experience are very good. I've also seen a few others, including raocow's and I doubt they could disappoint either! Heck, even the infamous yoshicookiezues has a level!

In my opinion World 2 has a couple of quite interesting levels including one that does look very pretty graphically.

World 3 for me is where it starts to take off. It starts with one of my levels which you'll hopefully at least laugh at if not actually enjoy (although hopefully you'll do both) and one "wow" level in the first half. And then in the second half you get another visually impressive level that's actually quite fun to play as well.

raocow finds the Hip Hoppin' About secret exit on his FIRST RUN and BY ACCIDENT?! REALLY?

Took me forever to figure it out during the testing phases... WHAT IS THIS WIZARD?

Also, the plalist I made is up to date with the 5 videos so far.

I'm kind of surprised that more people aren't LPing this right now. There's only been two others I found and one of them is lacking voice commentary.

Here is the other one.

I will post if I find any others LPs of this.
If/when A2MBXT comes around I'm prolly going to make a level based entirely around the bunnies because they are probably my favourite regraphicing.
I got the same idea.

Also yeah it took me lot of time to find the secret exit of today's level, but I wouldn't say it is hard to find. It's just that on almost every runs I want in the bonus room with the tanooki suit instead of going on the clouds on the left under the midpoint.
Still in my opinion the secret exit would have been more better if it was in the bonus room above the goal.

Oh my gosh. I was sort've paying attention to the graphics side of the project because it had pretty pictures to look at, but I don't think I saw the actual Marisa Demo sprite until now. It is adowable. Good job, guy(s) who did that!

Also, I recently got to thinking: what exactly is the point of eldritch yoshi? I can't really think of a situation in which spitting vegetables would be any more useful than fire or shells. (Did they have fart powers, too? I forget.)

I think it has something to do with SMBX having like five new yoshis, and it's hard to think of abilities once all the good ones are taken.

Well, until someone with actual art skill does so, you can have one that I doodled real quick in MS Paint.

Also, glad to be out of World 1 now, it's not that it's bad, but it starts getting interesting in World 2, I feel. Although, that might've been me just stopping being bad at Mario and allowing me to have more fun without multiple death interruptions.

Is there any way to double/increase the size of the game window? The windowed mode is too small for my liking, but the fullscreen looks awful.

You just... drag the corner outward to increase the size?

just drag the corner and then, if you want to check the aspect ratio you can take a screen shot (F12) and check what size it is.

I'm among the folks who couldn't find the Hip Hoppin' About's second star as quick as raocow. Never thought to try the Tanuki's block revealing power. :?

Also I just knew raocow would jump the two power-ups and talk to the second Toad. :P

WHY DOES NO ONE GET WHAT THE NEW POWER-UP REPLACEMENTS ARE?
The leaf is spinach.

The tanooki suit is an onion.

The hammer bros. suit is a gourd.

It's not that much of a stretch of the mind to get what they are!
