This is the first finished internet project I've contributed to so I was grinning all the way through this video. I will quite possibly injure my face from grin overload when raocow gets to one of my levels.

I was waiting for some of the more experienced forumites to do it. (Also I too wanted to be honourable and watch the entire video, but the youtubes are being slow).

You cannot see it, but I am making the Standard British Excitement Gesture in regards to this thing. I didn't download it because it will be way above my skill level, but man am I looking forward to seeing raocow play it. Here's hoping for an awesome ride!

(Also, next time this forum makes a thing, I'm volunteering to do the writing. New game's resolution!)

So after not watching raocow for a couple of months, this might be a game that makes me go back.
Hopefully it's far better executed than ASMT in the sense that it isn't too in-jokey and stuff like that. Although the hey guy level said otherwise.

Don't disappoint me game! I want to like you. It's a decent start so far, but hopefully the levels will get a bit more substantial soon.

That was same for me. I think this could continue until the end.

Like, this is crazy. The first post in the ASMBXT section was the end of october, and it's finished now, just four and a half months later. I am also amazed of the general quality of the levels. I mean, the central aspect of the project was 'anything goes', and by all means, I was so sceptical that some levels will be just bland five minute levels (welp, we have at least one). But this aspect was what made it so effective, and I think it should be the general way to go for future things.

Next time I rant it will be about the negative aspects of this, btw.

The amount of in-jokes fluctuates a lot due to anything goes approach. So expect some levels to overdo it a bit and some not to do it at all.

Collab games are almost always top-class, so I'm no doubt excited to see raocow LPing this thing. I truly did enjoy his ASMT videos. Then again, I enjoy ALL his videos.

There are a few "youtube levels", but as time goes on, it should get better and better. IMO the best levels are at the end.

btw, are there any anime references in the game? ASMT had the leek and Cirno, but Vocaloid and Touhou Project aren't anime. I'm actually hoping to see some real anime stuff like in STTB(forgot which one), in either ASMBXT or A2MT, but that's just me.

So what was the deal with Leek Secret Slide, though? If the star inside the SMB3 exit square vanished after time it would make sense, but no... it appears if you wait? Huh?

Also, if we get to A2MBXT, I'm totally throwing even more hat in because... I have a big hat, I guess.

I played parts of this... a silly/creepy/stupid level would fit right in.

One thing that I really like about SMBX is its ability to directly import music, instead of porting them into 16-bit SNES. I enjoy that remastered ASMT world 2 theme and it's nice to hear it in the opening level.

Remember it raocow. You're going to hear it again in a future project, where you won't expect it. Mark my words.

Yeah, I never noticed that either. I always just had it appear once I collected all the coins, but... apparently burning the inside of the square works too? I know it wasn't because he waited, at any rate.

Anyway, I can't wait for this to pick up steam! World 1 has a lot of levels that are pretty plain, but after that is where the game really gets interesting! (way to make a great first impression guys)

That shows our amazing skills at Beta testing! I played this level over 10 times throughout the devkit and testing phases and never stumbled upon it.
