Question (And I may go looking in the subforum for the answer anyway): You criticize the fact that the hack became very much Rao-centric since there is a ton of his humor and jokes in there, but I'm under the impression that it was like that from the beginning of development where everybody was like "Let's make a hack, and let's base it off of Rao's humor" Even the main character is from his comic, right? Sooo. I'm just wondering about the whole vibe of Rao announcing that he was going to play the hack changing development, when it seems to an outsider it was meant to be the way it turned out.

I will heavily agree with Argu's frequent point that the "puzzles" in SMW hacks are more of a pain than anything else. Take this thing, drop it here, push THAT thing here, take a key with you when you jump on that spring board, just bleh.

If they're like that they suck. I like smw puzzles that are actually puzzles except they are usually too hard for a normal romhack. Like metaknight1's magl entry. Boy, do I like that one.

I haven't checked this, but an invincible chargin chuck like in one of the Bowser's Castle rooms in Vip 4 should be possible using a Type 0 sprite with sprite tool (by changing the 'can be jumped on' flag) - see mikeyk's readme for how to do this.

edit: actually, change 'don't use default interaction with mario' instead. (Maybe disble fireball/cape killing and some other things too). The chuck doesn't actually become invincible - you can reach his hitbox by using up a powerup or if you have Yoshi (it does seem like what VIP 4 did because you can kill them like this too).
