raocow, next time you get a ramsave and you're low on lives, go ahead and game-over first. We wanna see you get at least one game-over.

Now I'm wishing I kept up with this hack more during production.

raocow, this is your chance to create yet another CD-cover ;)
I agree, it's sounding great so far. I was actually going to ask if you were planning to make SPCs available at any point.
Also, what was the music in the cave section of "Overgrown Fortress" from?

That marisa world song had to be ported by ear and it took like 1000 hours.

It's really appreciated, if that's worth anything

But it was well worth it. Sounds awesome and that raocow-moment when he was like "argh, I know this!" was cool too ^^

Yeah, I was just saying. That was like my behind the scenes developer's commentary. I don't really get all the "mention me" requests and "appreciate that" requests and "get a game over!" requests flying around. I'd rather you just play the game naturally.

I made Overgrown Fortress intentionally easy because I knew it was in world 2. I guess that didn't work since you died anyway. I really like the ghost house tilesets, but don't really like ghost houses. Oh, and pretty much every time I make something plant themed it ends up in the sky for some reason? I don't know why. That's my commentary
PS don't press anything when you get shot out of the cannon and you'll land on the platform safely
Edit: For anybody who cares, here's its original incarnation from way back in July. It is mostly the same, save for a pointless SMB2 ripoff room

I think it's, like, the 'right' kind of easy. As in, you'll make it through easily if you take your time and pay attention.
And then you get my playing.

Wow.
As soon as I heard the Marisa World song I had this big stupid grin on my face for about three minutes, excellent work!

Cool levels today, though Firehazard Canopy felt a bit too repetitive for my liking.
Loving that Marisa World song there Kil. Nice work on it.

Marisa World had some really good music. Pleasant surprise there.
Overgrown fortress was a cool level overall, too. The forest one I didn't care for, though. I mean it looked nice but...Oh boy nothing but single block jumps!!

Too be honest, I felt the same way. The whole level was basically just trees with like 3 real platforms in between, the rest was just branches and random fire. Designwise kinda boring, however with a really nice color palette and good DKC-music.

Hey, for the fortress with the pipes in the sky-- did you get the sense that those head guys with the blue-green hats were supposed to be Drift from our comic? Because that's all I could think of when I saw them.

It's a stinker of a level, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
Feels vipish to me, so good job kiniko.

Also, I laughed my ass off when I saw a comment on the video saying theme wise overgrown fortress wasn't consistent within it's rooms.
That person needs to realize that this game is non sequitur as all hell.

And even then, it's not like every song in every room fits the theme for 100%

I actually kinda liked the treetop level. It was repetitive, probably, but I did like the way the jumping fire and the platforms worked together, and it looked nice.
PS: Sniggerbobble you have the best name in the world.

I'm right here, sir.
Non sequitur is nice, but even then, some consistency would be nice every now and then. But that's only one level that's happened in so far, but I assume that you're right for the time being. Of course, that could just be me liking outdoor/forest-themed fortresses and castles, so it's more of a missed opportunity to me.
ROFLMAO

The old version where you had to fly in on the egg was cooler.

It was... um... the one bad level that you need to make all the other levels seem that much better... umm... uhh... [/excuses]
