He did spawn all the other times though. I don't know why he wasn't spawning at first like that (unless you're talking about another dude who simply never spawned period)

Yeah I mean that one guy towards the beginning. Me/the testers knew about it too but I just couldn't get him to spawn 100% of the time no matter what. if you walk back and forth you'll notice they despawn permanently. I was just hoping people wouldn't do that too much.

As with raocow, I laughed so hard at YCZ's Mistrial. OAME GVER!

It's just... so random, unexpected and funny. In a way it gives the player one less trial to worry about.

I highly doubt anyone knows this but, the mistrial is a very obscure reference to this particular video.

Megaman getting run over by the Guts Tank was an adorable little touch, just sayin'

Today's trials (Not counting the room with the "Marshmellow" guys) seemed a lot easier than the rooms shown over the past couple of day's videos. Also, that "bonus game" and yesterday's Yukari train were pretty funny.
Also, how did the room with the scrolling "marshmellow guys" work? Was it some layer 2 trick or something? Because the level did have a non-layer 3 background.

as far as I know, there was no layer 2. But obviously kil knows more than I.

I loved YCZ's Level
Loved the metroid though you kinda were able to get through that easier than expected.
Loved the Marshmellow guys, though there was that one glitch, it was something beyond their control.
Megaman level - Hatred with a passion. Very few people made it through this level. Like 2 or 3. It is rediculously hard in my opinion

Awesome.

I haven't laughed this much watching a raocow video in a while. Megaman getting run over, Oame Gver, whatever happened in FoDs room, the graphics in Kil's room were awesome.

Everything was just great, and I'm sure the last area will be great too. ;)

I don't know if I have to call the last boss super anti-climactic or super absolutely perfectly appropriate.

A little bit of column A, a little bit of column B.

Probably both would be my guess.

It's been a good run.

It's both.

Can't wait to hear your reaction 8D

Also: Kil's trial room is somehow my favourite little room in this whole game because it's goddamn gorgeous. I don't know why. I just have to stop and sit there and enjoy the music and visuals every time I go there.

Now that I think about it: Is there any of the teleporter rooms where not having any extra hits would not improve the room? (Apart from chdata's jellyfish, but there you can easily put two mushrooms on top of Demo's starting position.) The ex-controller hijack room gives you a cape at the beginning and during the spinjump sections, and the Alpha Metroid already has a hidden mushroom in the room itself. My point being, I could easily remove the mushrooms from the teleporter hub and put in a levelASM thingy that makes Demo small when she enters it.

(Also, chdata: I suppose I should just get rid of the "enemy controller activated" part of the message, and delete the graphics for the gameboy thing that the Fishin' Goo is holding?)

Another big discussion was about this. We pretty much decided that we just waited for the reaction.

EDIT: about Kil's level, I only had the first cement guy despawn (not counting the first 2) so that one got moved a bit closer which makes the jump a bit difficult. But I never thought of moving them by walking into the wall so that might be the reason that the second guy didn't spawn.

FoD's level, I always died at least once on that, but I guess the way is to just run away? I had trouble with the fast recovery. Oh well, I liked my strategy of picking every triangle thing and touching the metroid better even though it's more dangerous.

The OAME GVER was a nice little referecen to fill up the teleporters I recon.

Gutsdozer, like I already said, really hard but I'm sure you can beat it (since you beat the game by now)

Were the references to Mario's Return intentional, btw?
It seems so

Uh... I'm really not looking forward to playing the Megaman trial. You people are IN-FUCKING-SANE for putting something like that in.

Actually no, leave those both in and just do what I sent in the pm because it's still a little sense making since he spawns homing bills at you.

Also the Gutsdozer level isn't really that hard at all guys, at least when the ASM works and you're forced to be small Mario. The only reason the asm wouldn't work would be not having it inserted.

I loved the "OAME GVER" room and the space area with the moving block guys. I also really like how raocow called the former a "mistrial". :P

How fitting, one of the only actual references to raocow himself and it's to one of his most obscure old videos ever.

Edit: sup new paaaage

SUPEREDIT: Also the full title of the Game Boy Metroid game is Metroid II: Electric Booga--I mean, Metroid II: Return of Samus

*snicker* you may have been being sarcastic, but imo that is exactly true.

I totally concur. It's very surreal.

The other levels were very nice looking as well.

Also, raocow used to sound like Fred when he sang in Chipmunk time

And that Totally Insane Level was hilarious. Did you remember Oame Gver when you first saw it, raocow?
