Sorry guys, I broke raocow.
I have no idea what happened to the bullets. They never failed to spawn when i tested it, though.... Maybe something happened when it was inserted?

I had a dream where I came to this forum and this thread had been renamed. I don't remember what the name was, just that it was really long. It took up about 8 lines on the topic list.

It wasn't 8 lines long, but it had changed to something about that one guy playing a collab hack, where everyone made stuff. I think it was on April Fool's

Maybe the no sprite tile limits or one of those types of patches had an unknown effect on it

Well, y'all be seeing on camera what happens exactly.
This is why it's important to test WITH the patches, and not just assume everything will be dandy!
Note for a2mt - start with a base rom that has those in already.

ideally that'd be great... but new patches... and we have a new issue... everyone will have to convert to 1.70, or everyone will have to use pre-1.70, or else it WILL be a debacle, I can tell you now...

Dude, just make it clear from the start.
It's... it's not complicated at all, man.

So is Rao forced to cheat/glitch the game?

I think what was almost more needed was a checklist to ensure that all the stages -did- get tested to all exits. I know that there was a couple secret exits I just could not find when testing, so I ended up just skipping over them; this was one of them (I am not a fan of puzzle levels, admittedly); and I have a feeling other people skipped over a few exits here and there too (I know a bunch of us utterly refused to do Raw Horse Power's original secret exit, and a few never went back even when it got fixed).
And yes, raocow, it's basically a 'skip a level' secret exit, if my memory works right.
Sorry that we missed something, either way.

You ruined the ENTIRE THING, everyone. Now the integrity of the entire SMW romhacking scene has been compromised and raocow has no reason to trust you any longer, much less play ASMT.

Mistakes happen.
raocow can still play every level so it's not that big of a deal if you ask me. Even though 100% isn't possible.
But let's just learn our lesson from this and move on.

It's no secret ASMT were rushed like hell in the end, and definitely needed more time in testing stage. I find it hilarious that the secret exit were so annoying none of the testers even bothered with it though.

Well it was really more the ending that everyone was focusing on during the testing. I couldn't figure out the puzzle in the level and just got tired of it and moved on

To be honest I didnt think a key would despawn a bullet bill.... but i've seen stranger happen. Oh well

Didn't people want to send an updated version of ASMT to raocow before he got to a certain point in the game or something?, hows that going?, is it going to be game breaking if it's not done in time?

there's like zero activity in the collab hack.
You know, if you got things so urgent to fix, I don't get why y'all not just doing it yourself. I mean, it looks to me like a lot of you are just waiting for things to happen ?

It shouldn't break the game if he doesn't get it (I really really really hope), as a lot more focus was put on the later levels; especially the final world, in making sure it all works right.
Also nobody's really stepped up to take charge in actually changing anything, if I've heard right, and so it's mostly sitting as "Hey here's all these fixes... Where's YCZ?"
Man, Do The Puzzle Ice isn't bad - a bit amateurish but not flat out bad - but it's really overshadowed by A Vanilla Level. Like, really overshadowed.

As far as I know a lot of you should have the exact same game I have so, hey, dude did enough for the game already.
Anyway/Also - the ice fortress there, is the secret exit supposed to not do anything?

Yeah, but for some reason people are still waiting on him o.o;
EDIT: I think he's got the rom half update-compiled and stuff. Maybe?

.............wait, what. I... um... be right back.

Actually, I just submitted my level then went and hid under a rock. GO GO GADGET TEAMWORK.
Y'know, having payed little attention to this hack prior to the LP, I must say, the Ice World is very cramped. Which is a shame because that's where my level is. I do believe it's the castle.

I think there's a few minor things different in our versions, but yes, one of us should probably be able to fix stuff.
And yeah, that secret exit is supposed to lead to the castle, and I even think it was pointed out in the testing thread, though don't trust me on that one.

Speaking of errors, I know one of the levels I worked on has a noticeable error in it, though it isn't so much as to make the level unbeatable (it is actually probably easier) but I feel like mentioning it now since we're on the subject, though that is the second level I worked on that you'll come to from me in world 7 (not the literal second level, that one is fine). You'll probably know what it is once you get there. SPOILER I made more levels
And there's a big deal about that ice level. Sure, it should've been checked and fixed before, I agree. Keep in mind there were a lot of errors that were fixed though, including secondary exits/entrances going to the wrong area. It really was a huge pile of "this needs fixed" and I'm kind of amazed honestly that it turned out as decently as it did and also that this was the first instance of something not working completely.

Erm... okay I went to look at it.
The exits do actually work RIGHT... sort of. They go in the right direction and if you cheatcode 'em you get both exits. But for some reason... the normal exit... is actually a secret exit goal. I don't know what to make of this, except an apology.
(The 'normal' exit should have led back to the first red level of the map anyway, so you're not actually missing any levels again. Both exits just trigger the Secret Exit path, that's all)

Man, that broken bit completely overshadowed today's other levels.
DO THE PUZZLE ICE!! was interesting in that raocow showed us how to skip the second half of the level entirely. If you hit the blue P first, wait a second, then hit the silver one, you have enough time to rush down and go into the pipe that warps to the goal. Take a look around 3:04 and you'll see what I mean. Those Yoshi-munchers are still in coin form, and he might barely have made it if he had dropped down there.
I thought A Vanilla Level was very french vanilla. It doesn't look much like vanilla at first glance, but it certainly tastes like it. Little known fact: French vanilla is my favorite ice cream flavor.

But after the ice world in my opinion the best part of the hack starts so that should get the smile back on everyone's faces. Maybe
