flameofdoubt wrote:On the issue of allowing more room for error it's a slightly tricksy thing, since you can't only make it slightly easier. Making it easier involves taking out or putting in whole tiles, and one tile is the difference between 'overly hard' and 'overly easy' rather than 'overly hard' and 'fair'. Since this was a world 6 level I decided I should go for 'overly hard' otherwise there would have been no challenge whatsoever.
Of course the flip side to that is that if you can't modify it then making entirely new puzzles and obstacles that are fair might work.
Well, best bet in that case probably would've been to either break the level into two (I don't know how level signups went.) Or trimmed each half down a little bit. Redoing the whole thing probably could've helped, but eh.

Man, Echoing Call is probably the most divisive level ever, seems more peeps enjoyed it on the youtube side of things.

Well, youtube is pretty high class with videos such as "take a normal thing and make it a jarbled mess of sounds" and "should I microwave my playstation"

I don't browse Talkhaus nearly as frequent as any other forum I go to and this is the first time I've ever replied specifically to that person, so I wouldn't know about something like that.
Moving onto something else, I'd like to know how you guys got to have the stage music to continue playing while the P-Switch's plays along. That's a neat effect I've liked since YI.

Not quite true, collecting a certain number of them gets you a life, though each time you get a life this way the number needed rises.

In my opinion being dumb ironically is still being dumb. We who constantly complain about him know he's trolling, but that doesn't stop it from being dumb, and it doesn't change the fact he should stop. You saying that we "fall for it" rather than considering that he shouldn't be doing it in the first place is the reason no one will ever report him to you, because you're his bestestest buddy in the whole wide world and we don't trust you to actually do anything about him.

And let's face it, the replacement for these things was WAY better than what I came up with.

Yep. He's not going to do anything, so why bother reporting him? Let's bitch and moan about every post he makes. After all, it's not like anything can be done about it!

Hourai are usually portrayed with a noose round their neck, so I would assume so, but maybe Oracle of Wuffing can confirm this.

It's supposed to be a horribly colored version of the thing that your cursor is supposed to be on The Game raocow Doesn't Want us to Name. I don't know the names of freakin' anyone in thing, so whatever that thing's supposed to be called.

Is it the thing from THE MARIO (Mario wears a bucket) because I hardly know anything about raocow's videos that came before the World of Illusion LP. (That's when I first heard about raocow and initially thought he was insane.)

That was Shanghai, it's Alice's most well-known doll along with Hourai because she uses them in one her Spellcards. </nerrrrrd>

...Yes, because you get lives from getting a certain number of POINTS, and the blue things get you POINTS, but each time you get a life from POINTS, you need more POINTS for the next life. See?

Though note that POINTS are different from SCORE. SCORE should be at least in the millions. POINTS are only a few hundred and then you get a life and they reset.

In the interest of shameless butt kissing..., err I mean adding to the number of people who liked it, I'll say I thought the level was pretty cool.

I think it went on for just a bit too long, but other than that, I thought it was a pretty good level myself.

Man, raocow you were really selling yourself short saying "Ohhh it's OK to skip the first video". What on earth were you saying to me, man? I LOVED this video. The 20 minutes that comprised it went by in a flash, unlike your usual 2-part videos which, frankly, kind of make me go "Awwww man, a two parter? Geez!" I was held for the entire duration in rapt fascination, precisely because of the interesting level design here - man, you know how much I love complex puzzles and the like.
Also the world music was very nice. What's it from? Or is it original music? Either way, how can I get it?
