even easier: just put floor number as new lives number ,don't warp anywhere, and die once to set it to 23, then put it back on floor number.

i almost never see people do this, and just spend 2 minutes falling into a hole instead.

I also don't think Ive ever seen anyone ever use the hp number even after realizing they can swap it, basically being a always available 6-7 lives or warp to 007/107/207.

In all seriousness, honestly did a good job getting to phase 3, and actually picked up on a few tricks pretty quickly (using a checkerboard pattern to pick up tiles easier, using the almost falling animation to dodge a few attacks, etc.)

My only suggestion is something that kinda applies to all games: if too much shit is on screen visually, try focusing on sound cues, and lower the bgm a bit if it helps to hear them.

Congrats on completing Void Stranger.
There is infact a wiki for the game, and it is so well made that I have to advertise it.(still some spoilers for raocow past the first page as a heads up )
the void glossary is still useful, because having a quick cheat sheet is always much easier and convenient compared to a wiki with a million pages.

The wiki has a few helpful pages however,Like info on how to outlast a certain voidlord.

speaking of, have some more Cif trivia: When you start Lillie's route, there's a lamp in the corner of her room, after the demon appears, the lamp vanishes. Interesting disguise to say the least.

Also, the identity of the demon is obvious. Which void lord is the demon with four eyes? the only one that wears glasses.

edit: Actually, you might want to see if you can get the Void Glossery submitted to the Resources page of the wiki.

the irony of buddhist philosophy in a highscore-seeking shooter must be something that System Erasure are aware of. I've always wondered if someday they'd make a pacifist run the solution to the true ending - to forgo multipliers, weapon upgrades, high scores and violence in order to break free of the cycle of samsara.

There's actually a lot of different strats for max rank in cif's challenge, and depends on which you go for:
no hit, no pit run where you just collect a ton of medals. (shortcuts you fall in count as pits)
use hud manipulation to repeat a set of floors with a ton of enemies and slay them over and over again for huge multipliers.
speedrun the game, getting every cat from every tree and then rush to the end. the system erasure fan discord server has this as a special challenge which i have a recording of, and ill take any excuse to show off.(spoilers if anyone wants to plan it out themselves)

even with some constant fumbling around with the controls at max speed and accidentally grabbing an extra chest i still manage to pull it off, its actually not that difficult

The big thing is getting a handle on max hold speed to really zoom through the void

Also there's a secret rank for starting the timer then standing perfectly still for 20 minutes,never moving once and ending at a score of 0
