What I did on the third race was not only max out my speed but also my evasion distance, then kept hitting dash in rhythm so it wouldn't interrupt itself. I have no idea if that was actually faster than just running but it sure felt that way. And in the end, isn't that the real truth?

I only remembered the payoff to Speed Star moments before it happened. Will never stop being funny to me.

Wasn't expecting raocow to go all-in on the sidequests, but they're a big part of Automata's overall "vibe". Some of them are brutally hard and can be saved for later, others are easy to overlook. They're as necessary as you find yourself willing to do them, if that makes any sort of sense.

Their own creations killed them because they thought their creators were stupid and slow like plants.

It's such whiplash it's hard to know whether it's comedy, satire, earnest scifi, tragedy or something else. It's pathos and bathos in a blender. Cracks me up. Sure sets a tone, though.
