Here it is, the raw string dump. It's horribly unsorted and it's duplicated for some reason. It's from the Devkit exe so some strings are already changed (like the window titles and so on.)

If you don't want to download this 1.1mb text file, then here are the most important strings and the reason I wanted to create this topic in the first place. (cheats+smbx credits+main menu)

So, for the credits roll, we can't really add into it, only change what's on there?

Does anyone know what they did for the credits in STTB2?

EDIT: We could just make a level and do some graphics edits.

Yes, a level would probably be better to house the 'real' credits, and we can make it segue into the credits roll for a joke, I guess!

Also, I just noticed: the 'redigitiscool' code is NOT on the string dump, but it's definitely there. So that's probably the one code we can't replace.

We could make one of the early levels have an Easter egg that if you walk left during a boss fight you get the default credits roll.
The first thing I would do with infinite power would be to make myself a cave where I could look at my shadow forever.

Well, we can't use the credit roll for "real" credits at all: there's simply not enough space. But we could do something with it at least.

Speaking of which, has anyone ever looked at intro.lvl/outro.lvl? How is the "autoplay" handled there?

apologize the double post but I just found something really interesting

it IS possible to credit level designers on the credits roll, there are 5 text fields on the World Editor, when choosing the world settings, such as name, number of stars and blocked characters

if we found a way to remove this 5-name limitation, the credit roll may be useful in the end

I think it's impossoble/it would be too complicated, BUT we could alter the title and just do some sort of 'special thanks' or something like that.

Also, we need ideas for the cheat code replacements! Just keep in mind it has to have the same amount of characters as the original code
