The Talkhaus "Make A Good Level" Contest -- Submissions

This thread is for submissions and submissions only. You may edit your post to change your submission; do not make a new one. Once the deadline has been reached, you may not change your level again.
------
So we're having a contest. That's cool, right?

Basically, as the title states, the point of this contest is just to make a good level (i.e. a fun level). There's nothing more to it; you're free to make whatever your heart desires and utilize any tool that could optimize your level. So, let's get into the meat and potatoes of the contest.

Rules
There really isn't a lot to say here. Your tools and resources are not limited at all. The rather few rules you must follow are:
  • No ROMs; submit an IPS
  • Your level has to be beatable
  • You are only making one level
  • A two-person partnership is applicable
That's not too bad, right?

Judging
Here is the rubric for judging:
Level Design:
  • Fun: 20
  • Difficulty: 5
  • Focus: 5
Atmosphere:
  • Visuals: 5
  • Music: 5
Functionality:
  • Functionality: 10
You're final score will be out of 50.

Some Clarification/Guidelines:
Fun: This is where most of your score will be so make sure your level is fun. That's really what's important here. Remember to watch your level's length because if you drag it out, you'll lose points.
Difficulty: Make sure your level has consistent difficulty throughout or a gradual difficulty curve. It doesn't necessarily have to be challenging, but avoid making it too easy or too hard.
Focus: Your level has one theme, okay? Don't randomly switch or cycle through themes.

Things like overworld, title screen, or other elements of smw that aren't part of your level won't really affect your score.
Who are the judges? As of now, me and Argumentable.

Other Info
You have around a month to make your level. The deadline will be Monday, April 30th when I wake up AM. Now, the first place winner will receive a nice new color of their choice for their name. If you have any personal questions, feel free to PM me or Argumentable. Thank you!

Prompt and friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere. Good fish, bad salad. Would not visit again.

A restaurant experience familiar to us all. But now, for the first time, you can have this experience in custom Super Mario World level form. Please take a moment to read this page from the level's manual.
Image Trouter
You'll remember this little fellow from Super Mario Bros. 2. He'll help Mario cross waterfalls (you can't swim in waterfalls, don't be stupid). This time there's a blue variety that won't hurt Mario from the side. Although these little guys are pretty tough, they can't withstand a spin jump. And watch out if you try to pick them up - they're slippery!

Image Piranha
An evil plant. The ones with a green stem are shy, and will hide in their pipe if Mario gets close. But the ones with a red stem give no fucks and will simply ignore Mario. Be careful!

Image Venus Fire Trap
Like a piranha, except it shoots fireballs at Mario. All the upside-down ones are red-stemmed. What a strange coincidence!

Image ??? Piranha
Who's this? I have no idea. But, psst, Mario - I hear if you damage a plant's stem, you'll hurt the plant!

Image Bob-omb
It's a bomb. It's on a timetable to destruction. Give it a kick, though, and you'll reset its timer. Why would I be telling you this?!

Image Hammer Bro.
These tough critters guard the gateways of the level. Once you see them, you'll know you're near a checkpoint - but you'll still need to make it past them!

Well, I wanted to try making something else and only use this as a fallback, but things have been... very different for me lately, and I don't feel like using my time on Lunar Magic at the moment. So I think this will definitely be my entry.
Being a Ghost House type of level, I'm worried it might not be that fun. I love Ghost House stuff, but everyone's different, I guess. Oh, and there is a part that assumes you understand how a certain type of block works, but I think it should be fairly well-known to most people...?

There are some left over scraps of other level ideas there, as well. Obviously to be ignored.

EDIT: Changed a few small details

I am an idiot, and also, this is a level. You need to play the level to see whether or not those two facts are related or if I just have poor sentence-construction skills.

(I had a bad "clean" ROM somehow, which is funny because I'm pretty sure it still worked when after applying an ASMT patch, and for almost any other purpose that I needed it to work, except of course for generating an IPS file. Fixed.)

Not even attempting at artistic or musical sort-of changes in this. Just designed a level and replaced Yoshi's Island 1. Too little time now and too little motivation before.

I had half a mind to do a bit more sprucing up, but I haven't touched it for a week so apparently it's done.

Thanks for the contest limepie. I had fun making this.

I'm pretty darn nervous. I mean what if I like overlooked something huge or something. :(

Also, HUGE thanks to Isocitration, Kiwisauce and mitchell1 for willingly testing my level. Really appreciate that.

Anyways, my level:
Spontaneous Cave!

EDIT: Updated the link because Kiwisauce tested my level after I submitted it here and caught a subtle error.
