Graphics polls

I know, Terry is the GFX guy, but he seems to be very busy at the moment and it doesn't relly matter who does this.

The thing is that for the graphics we have much stuff we could use and for some sprites there are multiple nice options, which Mr. "graphics judge" can not deicde on, so he said we will have a poll on that.
So here will be the polls to decide on which GFX to use.

Go check the first page in the GFX thread to see the GFX that are open for poll.

ATM we will have the decision for:
-torpedo
-monty mole
-pokey

Choose one option in the poll for every decision so please don't take multiple options for a single decision

I did vote for caterpillar+Butterfly but I do want to see Tete de Feu return. Just not with the lighter.

Alright, I voted as well. For the Lakitu & Spiny replacement, I voted for Tete d'feu and lighter, mainly because there's something odd about the butterfly that I just can't put my finger on. I might have to change my mind if I see it in action and it ends up fine, but... I dunno.

Also, the Abstract Goomba looks a little like Ogmo to me. Exactly like Ogmo, actually.

Was going to vote, but I think that we should have different enemies in different worlds, so all of these can be used at once.

but if we put together the OW with the different worlds after the levels are submitted, the level creators won't know in which world their level will be so they also won't know which graphic to use in the level.
So the different graphics can rather be chosen different in every level, but then we still need a standard one because not everyone will be willing to use a specific enemy graphic.

Since worlds are being chosen later, if worlds have different enemies then the exfgx will need to be changed later anyway, so this would overrule level creators needing to know what enemies to put in. There are problems still though, yeah.

yes but maybe let's say a level creator doesn't want to have a certain enemy style in his level and then it is changed... that would be stoopit.

it's also going to get complicated if people use mixed tileset exgfx.

Anyway... I have a few graphics updates for whenever Chdata updates the ROM, I am not going to upload a new version while he's working with one.

Both good points, the easiest and most sensible thing would be to have one set of enemies then, I just think it's a shame since we have several good options for some of the slots.

Yeah, it may be something where if there is a tossup, you, Chdata or I can go in and make like tileset 101, 102, 104, etc, and do it half and half or something.

That, and because it's a whole new environment. This doesn't mean some sprites can't be used again. The goopas are known as weird alien dudes anyway for example.
