Well, let's get this thing started. As you may already know, the final castle will be done as a collaboration: Everyone who wishes to can contribute a level. Make a post here and state that you want to create a room, and I'll give you a level number.
Some guidelines and general tips:
- To start off with, every person can only sign up for a single room, to avoid the level getting too large. If the turnout isn't that big, this limit will be increased.
- Don't sign up if you are already working on one of the main levels. One thing at a time.
- Remember the level setting. The castle is located within a volcano, so the castle and cave backgrounds are the preferred ones. Or why not combine the two to make a courtyard?
- On that note, there's no need to insert any castle FG ExGFX. SyStemcraSh already made us a nice set which is usable with the default Map16:

- For continuity reasons, only use door entrances and exits to your levels.
- As with most levels, a custom palette can really help make your room look less generic. This especially goes if you are making an outside room, as none of the default palettes really goes with the volcanic cave theme.
I would like to sign up for a level. I am on a trip this weekend, but I will be able to start it on monday.
Just a quick question about backgrounds. Not that I really plan on using a custom one, but if people do decide to use custom ones, shouldnt we keep them all the same, or at least similar?
I'd like to get my bomb room in. I mean, I'm working partially on a main level, but I've had the bomb room pretty much done for a while, so I don't think that should effect anything.
So sign me up for that, though if you'd prefer that I wait to submit it until after Moniker and I hash out this level, then I will.

i dont think ill sign up because im not a good hacker (heck, i dont even know how to change palletes really) this is just a test comment because i have an account on this site but ive never used it. also after all the levels are finished, is there anything else left to do? im just excited to see the hack when its done!
I'll take a level. I've got an interesting idea for a spotlight level planned out. It'll need some tweaking due to difficulty issues, but it should work out fine.

That should just be in the same thread. Only problem with that is people may not know there is something new to sign up for.
Not that I think everyone should do a void room...but that's besides the point.
