Ah ok, I just mention it because I'm trying out your reaverbot boss and it didn't have the inserted colour.

I need a 16x16 jelly fish using the yellow / pink palette (preferably pink having see through spots like the origional, and maybe a version that isn't see through.)
And also a different sized actually jellyfish.

Base it off of this...

http://www.legends-station.com/screensh ... ts/midosu3

The jellyfish itself which must fit the gfx file in the attatchment. (I need this one much less though focus on the mini one.)

Also each demo of the jellyfish I thought it was using the star as the gfx lol ips failure.

Those are amazingly well done! But did you make all the animation frames like in the jello.bin?

Before I pick one, anyone happen to know the sprite transparent with the background routine? I tried ripping it from the big boo but it didn't seem to work.

.bin file?

Huh I thought that was to fix how pale she looks. Is that intended? (Then again I can see how it fits but I think we could make it slightly darker.)

Unfortunately the other colours are all really really dark, so the pale is the closest I could get. Of course we could use another palette slot but are there any left since I used that one to make another shade of blue?

We could overwrite the pale color with a darker one. It's an OWsprite palette so I don't think it'll be used anywhere else.

Hm do you think that skin tone looks at little grey? I'll be honest i'm not so good with colours but maybe it could be a little pinker? what do you think?

Also no animation yet of course but:

Yeah I think it could be pinker too but I'm not all that good at palettes either.

Yummy jello.

Nope, 100% serious. I dislike most of the custom graphics and the ones I actually voted on lost.

I also think we should have a version with raocow's Demo (although now I'm sort of ok with Terry's since it actually got finished with vanilla palettes.)
And if you aren't making one YCZ I'm going to try my best too. (but not distribute it till after the LP is done.)

I understand having a version of the hack with vanilla graphics but is anyone gonna care enough to play a version with slightly differently main character graphics?

If it had all of raocows graphics I'd care enough, bacause in my opinion they fit together much better and makes the overall impression that much greater than the random mishmash that's the current ones.

But then again I'm no fun.

Well we have to bear in mind that because of exgfx it's not a simple case of inserting different graphics and saving it.

Someone or a group of people would have to go through each level, extract the exgfx using LM, insert the new graphics over the ones in the exgfx that aren't custom to the level using a different program (yy-chr, and this is a slow, tile-by-tile copy and paste from one file to another process), save, insert using LM, move to next level.

We have 75 main levels plus a score of extra levels, and any sublevels within those levels? They need the same treatment. A few levels are only one sublevel long and a few are 6 or 7 sublevels long (also think of the final castle), though the majority will be 2-3. Assuming it's as easy as it could possible be means going through at least 150 sublevels. Be more realistic and it could well reach the 200s.

That is an awful lot of busywork.

Well, chdata pretty much said he was going to do that if YCZ couldn't be bothered with it (well just raodemo but yeah).

Besides, this is one of those things that could be done while the lp is still going, or even some time after that.

True, the demo sprites are different though, those really are a case of swapping out a file, inserting and saving, so having one with RDemo instead of TDemo is completely possible.

I don't know how the cutscene tool works, but I'm quite sure it isn't just a case of swapping that particular GFX file. Just something to think about.
