/me is back. Hooray! I get to play the sumbitch now!

Alternate for Castle 5 Destruction Scene (although I don't really think we need to change it):
Despite a distinct sensation of a tremor in the Force, Demo is still teleportationally- challenged. At least she may have motivated the charlies to deodorize their jock straps.

I must have missed the part where the script got rewritten, but to say that it was a goddamn wonderful surprise is understating it.

I love you guys.

Thanks to the teleporter-cheat, I was finally able to see the last two cutscenes. The ending seems a bit abrupt and confusing, since we don't get to see master's face.

A simple change of the last line to "Master!! Noooo!!" would help, since it obviously indicates a crisis (right now I think it's bit too subtle). But is it enough?

Ideas?

By keeping it generic for ASMT2 I think we've lost any real cliffhanger, yeah, since there's no indication that anything is wrong at all, partly because you don't know what it should normally be like. The master seems to act exactly the same, and then Demo shouts "no!!!" for seemingly no reason. I think the one clue is the word "we" as used by black plague.

Also you know what would be the best thing ever? If the master was randor.

But we'd need permission for that.

I don't know why you're talking bout the plot for ASMT2, I posted in IRC that I'm totally hijacking the plot for ASMT2, no one objected and one random guy agreed.

so uh, basically there's only one cutscene and Demo wears a hat in it.

k bye. 8-)

Obviously this image requires cleaning up (I just ripped it in the last 5 minutes). Might make for a better final frame before the credits roll.

Hahaha what the hell yes. I still like my randor idea but lets go with that because it's better and more original.

Alrighty - I've cleaned him up.

But that's about as far as I can take it, quality-wise. Perhaps FoD or someone else would be willing to finish him up?

I quite like this style but I'll have a go at shading it.

EDIT: Did that only have half of him in it..?

Damn. I guess YYCHR only saves the top half. Fortunately I still have it open. Do you know how to make it save the whole thing?

I think if you save it newly, so copy paste into a new file rather than saving an edited GFX file you can get it fully, but I'm not sure...might be a good idea to make two files.

Ok - I made a bundle which includes two files splitting the top and bottom half of him. And there's a third file of the Plague Toad at half size in case we run into problems with vwf.

Ok so it turns out I'm terrible at shading large things. Here's the best I can do though:

Looks good enough to me. =)

RealLink? You still around to throw this into the last line of Cutscene 7? (Preferably the large toad.)

Adding it wouldn't be hard as we have one full ExGFX file left for GFX in the cutscene.
But we should at least vote. I'm not too fond of it. Not because of the GFX, it looks ok, because of the general revealing Master at the end thing.
But that's just my opinion.

Let's do nothing anymore.

We'll see what raocows reaction is and with that we can think of something for a sequel.

Eh. I just feel like it's an anticlimax. There's cliffhanger music in the credits but we don't know exactly why. I don't think it closes very many doors to reveal the master. I think it's actually kind of cruel not to.

I think its fine the way it is. I get the idea that something happened to her master, and it would be a good incentive to play the sequel if it ever gets made. To find out exactly whats going on!

Don't try and force the joke rubberfishy, I personally don't set any store by irc chats.

I think we should just settle for how things are. It's not ideal but we can do pretty much whatever we want with ASMT2 and much as I do like the progression of the plot we have, it's hardly good enough that the plot itself would be the main reason why people want to play ASMT2.

it's not a joke, and it's not just about Demo wearing a hat.

it's about Cop/Detective duo of Demo and Bat who go are also archaeologists and solve mysterys.

Demo's all like: "Give me back the golden idol, that belongs in a museum!" to some guy

then the Bat is all like: "not so fast Demo, hand me that Idol, I'm totally taking this or something"
and Demo's all like "I always knew you would betray me one day Bat, it said so on Wikipedia, it never lies."

then the whole game happens and there's no cut scenes or message boxes or anything, the creators of the levels can do what they want.

then the last boss is either a Bat or has a Bat generator.

THE END!

so, how's you like?
