Whew, I have a lot of shit that I put in this one room.

There's 4 non-background blocks inserted with map16, you could probably move them around easily if needed

Also I'm not sure if I've given you exgfx96, its just the one with the Hammer Bro tiles on it, so you might not need to worry about that if you already have it

Contains the sprites

Which as of the current "list of inserted sprites" doesn't conflict with anything

Edit: I don't think the header is set to 10 as it should be

Edit2: I used cfg editor to change what palette the bomb boos use, apparently that doesn't carry over so you'll have to fix that too, sorry!

Kristian, could you please tell BlackDS that he forgot to include the ExGFX file in his submission? Also, his Map16 data kind of conflicts with a lot of stuff.

Argumentable: What palette should the bomb boo use, then? Also, you seem to be missing both ExGFX1BC and the bomb shooter. And is the FG supposed to be all cement blocks?

Moniker: Are all the blocks in the boss battle room really meant to be solid? It seems kind of odd...

The bomb boos should use palette F

Also, 1BC isn't so much missing as it was merged with 201. You can change 1BC to pretty much anything and it won't conflict because, yes, I intended for it to be all cement blocks, unless this is unacceptable. I must have forgotten to change that in the GFX thing, sorry.

That works. I know you posted castle graphics before, but I didn't download them so I didn't have them. Maybe they should be put in the castle signups thread?

Ah, sorry I forgot to mention that I have breakable blocks (SMB3.bin) inserted in map16 slot 806. Let me know if you need me to upload the bin. They should look like turnblocks with a different palette. There are a few cement blocks scattered about though.

'aight, so... I hope the No Sprite Tile Limits works well. You need to change the sprite header to 10, as I had it at 00 for testing. It's 100% vanilla design, and I only made it to screen 07. I assume this is alright because it's only a very small fraction of the level.

Anyways, I'll be glad to take another room... though, it looks like a lot of people are signing up.

Heres my castle sublevel YCZ. After a bit of cleaning up, I think it's ready to submit. Contains the custom sprites, the music for the level (if you find it to repetitive, just slap some epic castle music on it), the map16 (on page 9), the ExGFX, and of course, the level.

Castle Sublevel, version 0.9, plus a finalized version of Revenge of Switch. Unless someone notices something majorly important that needs to be fixed, these are the final versions.

EDIT: Duh, forgot which files got submitted in this thread.

Ok YCZ, I swear this is the last update I'm going to make of 17C. I just had to nitpick a few things cause I just didn't feel good with them. I'm completely happy with this one now. Change the music to the number of whatever the one I sent you is, or if there is some castle theme for the whole castle, just use that.

AnimeRules, which sprite numbers am I supposed to insert the custom sprites for your level as?

Also, a general note to all level designers: Please do not submit levels saved to level numbers other than the ones they are supposed to be inserted as, and make sure to remove all unused secondary entrances from your levels before submitting them. I don't want to notice halfway through the testing phase that a level or secondary entrance was overwritten, and have to check through all my backups to find a copy from before it was.

raekuul: About your castle level: constructing levels completely out of cement blocks just look kind of ugly. Since we have a really nice castle ExGFX set drawn for the level, why not use the castle blocks and ground instead?

Just for sanity's sake, I will be inserting my castle level and level 10f at the same time. Im done 10f, but it has map16 stuff, as well as my castle level. so instead of inserting it in twice, Ill just submit it all at once.

Ok So I have both my Castle level and normal level done. They are both conviently located in one zip file and in different folders, that should be easy enough. As well the Map 16 stuff is in their too. It basically goes as such

Level 171 is the castle level


Level 10F is the desert level
Name: Hot! Hot! Desert!
Text Box 1:WARNING! The heat from the desert with the red sky may cause a mirage! Objects may look safe, but can be dangerous!

Text Box 2 : WARNING! Last water supply for a LONG time. Seriously... a long time... like really long.

The music is located within the folder for the level

Ok, hopefully this has everything you need for 115. Also has the sublevels 145, 148, 149, 53, and 54 (ended up not using 55 or maybe it was 52)

I'm gonna see if I can get this one music working right then I'll submit the musics all together, too

PS make sure Moniker gets credit for creating this as well as me!
