Are there still teleporter rooms open for the taking? Just to confirm, we were told to make a "short, gimmicky" level or a boss for them, correct? (Though I suppose the second question is only relevant if the answer to the first is yes.)

If you want to claim a teleporter you have to make a boss I believe, although I think you can sign up for a short gimmicky level for one. Not sure though.

we can use short gimmicky stages for before or after the teleporters.
Don't be sad when it isn't good enough due to lack of quality though.

Hello. You might remember me as a user on SMWC. This project has been one of my favorites for a while, but it has only been until recently that I've decided to see how it is progressing. Like most of the people here, my main wish is to create a level for the collab. Yes, I am aware all positions are filled, which is why you could consider me as a backup plan, in the case that one participant fails to submit his level.
As for information, what I lack in ASM, I more than make up for in level design, and ambiance. I try to stick to making linear levels, but occasionally, I like to mix things up by making a level with multiple branching paths, as you'll notice in my Vanilla Level Contest entry (yet to be submitted). My skills with vanilla are also something to admire. While I can't re-invent Super Mario World with the tiles I'm given, (Lynnes holds that belt) I can create some interesting scenes with minimal map16 usage. While words are fine and dandy, you really can't tell much about my work without actually seeing visual proof, which is what I shall provide below:
I'm sure this post will be ignored for obvious reasons, but if you need my help for any reason, feel free to ask. I'll try to stick around the talkhaus as long as I can.
EDIT: Just realized that there is still room left for a "Teleporter Room" designer. I'd be more than happy to fulfill this request, and although I know that the level must feature gimmicky level design and a custom boss to go along with it, I don't know enough about the project to know what kind of theme these teleporter rooms must have. If you'd be kind enough to fill me in on the details, I'll begin my work immediately.

I'm sure you can get a teleporter room if there's still some open, but keep in mind it has to be really gimmicky and YCZ said that you have to make a boss for it.

Yes, screenshots 4 and 5 use a fake HDMA gradient I made using the 8x8 tiles found in GFX17.

For the teleporter room: it's pretty much an island that is all messed up due to fooling around with a teleportation device. So you can use pretty much every theme you can think of. And yes, it is supposed to be rather gimmicky and possibly wacky.
It isn't really necessary to make a boss when we use it as a level before or after the teleporter hub room

Well, I've been talking to CHdata, and I was wondering if I could have the last teleporter since I heard CF has already done one.
I'm still trying to determine how many exits and levels I'll need, but should get back to you tomorrow.
