A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
Re: A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
Well, I would release my cookie sprites, but they were coded when I didn't care about how the code looks and so the bouncing one is just an edit of another sprite.
Also, voting for a C3 release.

What about the ticking P switch sound? That is pretty unique..
Ignore this if it's inside the pack, I didn't check.
EDIT: also,it has music that didn't make it in I believe? At least I can't recall Europe Town from Terranigma

Re: A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
The ticking p switch is really poorly implemented and I don't feel like fixing it. It eats up like 200 more cycles than it needs to every frame.
Also I don't see any reason to let eurotown.txt just rot on my computer where it will eventually be lost.

OK but I still don't see why I wouldn't release it

So noone else want to release anything with this? D:
Re: A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
You can put in my cookie sprites. The rolling and the bouncing one.
e: And of course, the GFX.

Re: A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
I mean, not only do you actually get the game itself at C3, but your also getting a hell of a lot of high quality ports and a couple of useful custom sprites (especially your danmaku generator) I'd say it's a pretty good deal. Just call it a mini resources pack.
Re: A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
Go ahead and include the Pac Boo's YCZ, but not the gfx. I'm sure you still have them.

Re: A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
Chibikko gave me the ok to do this a long time ago. Here's a few of his misc patches he made that no one has ever even downloaded except for me a few days ago. I didn't include all of his patches because either it's already been done on SMWC or I edited it to do more stuff.
And the pac boos.

Re: A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
What exactly is the difference between the ALPHA and BETA versions, and do you want both to be included?
Also: Kil, would you mind if we released your P-Switch ticking patch? I have noticed several people at SMWC being interested in it.

Re: A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
Well if they don't mind the fact that the code is kinda sloppy.
Re: A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
The Alpha and Beta... I think the Beta changes it's palette to another one when flashing while alpha doesn't.yoshicookiezeus wrote:What exactly is the difference between the ALPHA and BETA versions, and do you want both to be included?

Re: A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
Alpha changes palettes from 9 to E. These are hard coded in the ASM. Beta stays at the normal palette, which can be changed with the cfg_editor. The two versions were for chdata to choose between when the request was originally made. I prefer Beta.yoshicookiezeus wrote:What exactly is the difference between the ALPHA and BETA versions, and do you want both to be included?
I am a cat. You cannot prove otherwise.

Re: A Super Mario Thing Official Resources Pack
Given how this has now been released, I think that it's time to archive this topic.
