The (Talkhaus) Price is Right Ep. 1 - Goodbye Everybody!

Before we start, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Ayjo. YK's lord and master. And I'll be your announcer for this stupid series, just like I was beforehand. Don't expect me to give a damn, though. YK doesn't pay me enough for this. At any rate...

Ayjo: Here it comes! From the "Forum Games" section of the Gazebo at Talkhaus, it's the forum's most exciting however-long-this-takes of fantastic prizes! The fabulous surely-more-than-60-minutes Talkhaus Price is Right!

Wolfolotl, come on down!

Ayjo: You are the first four contestants on...

Ayjo: And here's our host... YelseyKing!

Yes! Yes, thank you very much, and thank you, too, Ayjo, even though I know you absolutely don't want to do this!

Now, let's just get right into this, shall we? How about our first item up for bids?

Ayjo: It's a new sailboat! Yeah, we're starting off big here. Well, it's not *too* big. I mean, it's gotta be a good 32 feet or something? Is that big? I have absolutely no idea. Anyhow, a family of four will enjoy many relaxing days on the ocean or lake in this sturdy craft from CatSail, makers of fine cat-like aquatics since 2011! Did I get all that right?

Now it's time to place your bids. This process is simple. Each of you, in the order in which you were called down, place a single bid on what you think the prize offered is worth. The person who bids closest to the actual retail price without going over will win the prize, and will get to come up on stage and play a pricing game. We use dollars of the American variety, and we round to the nearest dollar. So don't go bidding $999.99 or something.

With that settled... Wolfolotl was called first, so... place your bid on that lovely sailboat!

Just for the record, for those who *are* familiar with the Price is Right, I'm emulating the later Bob Barker years (the 90s through 2007), so if something is "out of date", it's that way on purpose. Also, I've chosen to add some humor to this, and like I said, I'm going with generic, no-name prizes because it's... well, funnier that way.

All right, the bids are in... and the actual retail price of that sailboat is... ...wow, it's more extravagant than anyone thought! $4,549!

That's quite the prize! KobaBeach, you're the winner! Get up here on stage, and follow me over here to the turntable, because boy, you ain't seen nothin' yet! Ayjo, what do we have for him?

Ayjo: How about a new washer and dryer? From Wash-O-Matic, the self-proclaimed "leader" in washing machines, we offer this ten speed washing machine, complete with matching dryer! It... well, what more do you want? They wash and dry your clothes. Every home needs one. I mean, come on. The laundromat gets expensive after a while.

Well, that's a decent prize. Practical, if nothing else. But I'll bet you'd *much* rather have... this!

Ayjo: A new car! Yes, it's the Wolksvagen Grand Am J1628 or something like that! Come on, it's one of those fancy German models. It can probably hit like, 120mph easily. I don't know how much that is in km/h, because I never studied metric. I probably should one day. Anyhow, it comes with power doors, working windshield wipers, a cigarette lighter that no one ever actually uses for cigarettes, and the enigmatic "California Emission", of which I have absolutely *no* idea what that *is*, but it's evidently important enough that they always make sure to mention it on the *actual* Price is Right. Also, this car comes with, like, *ten* cupholders! You can't beat that!

And we're going to start out with a classic: Any Number. But before we go any further... light up the first digit of the car, special effects guys!

2. That's at least a $20,000 automobile you're playing for!

Now, the rules are simple. Each number from 0-9, including another 2, is on that board somewhere in the prices of those two prizes, as well as the change down there in the piggy bank. All you have to do is pick any number you think might be in the price of that car. As you pick numbers, they'll be lit up on the board. And the first prize whose price you fill out completely is the one you win. So you may win the washer/dryer combo, or you may win a few bucks in the piggy bank, but hopefully, you'll win that car!

Now, KobaBeach, which number would you like first?

(Late Edit: I just noticed that the blank board listed the small prize as a fridge. That was because I recycled it from the last time I did a forum TPiR game, and I'm a stupid who forgot to change it that one time. It's been fixed, so yay for that or something.)

Ayjo: Up on the turntable, we have... A new Nintendo 3DS and 15 games! Yes, it's an actual product, whoa. The 3DS. You know, that 3D handheld console that everyone, without fail, disables the 3D effects as soon as they can! Comes with 15 popular games, such as Majora's Mask 3D, Bravely Default, Super Smash Bros. 4, and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby! And probably at least a few shovelware titles no one cares about!

All right, then. With this, the rules for bidding very slightly change. We now go in the order of the most recent contestant called, from left to right, back to the left side. If that makes any sense whatsoever. In this case, Lunatic Quark gets the first bid, followed by Kuupa, then Wolfolotl, and zmonbobbo gets the last bid.
