I was always a big fan of the flurries from SMB2. They slipped around on the ice and everything, and if you threw them on a non-slippery surface they wouldn't slip around anymore! It was almost like they were programmed to interact with what little environment there was. It was a pretty cool detail for a video game back then. Not to mention they'd fly at you at a billion miles per hour while you were trying to traverse their stages.
These guys were cool, too. I liked Metroid Prime, it was cool to explore around and look at all the enemies. After a while most of them got tedious, but I never got tired of seeing sheegoth for some reason. The adult version wasn't as cool, but fighting the babies was a good time. They even had frost breath so you could get frozen like a scrub. Wowwww!
