Varia, a pretty flashy and "trippy" shooter.
Echoes, a pretty flashy amalgamation of Asteroids and Geometry Wars.
Also, [url=http://tigsource.com]'s a pretty good source for freeware games.

The closest thing I found to good freeware games were crappy flash ones like Cubefield and World's Hardest Game (and Linerider, but thats awesome and popular :) ). Everything else I find is just links to porn for some odd reason...

That Megaman 2 thing where you fight all the robot masters at once was pretty cool too (I hope that link works, its from some youtube video where I think I originally got it)
