Hallo everyone in the Talkhaus! Been a big fan of raocow for a while now, and a long-time lurker of the Talkhaus, too, but it only just occurred to my head inside that "Hey, ya dumb! Go and join in the festivities!" so I made this here forum thing. Uh...er..not sure what else to say here (I'm new to these things) but I'm excited to meet you all and hopefully participate in this small, but wonderful community ^ ^

Hello Talkhaus forums! I'm TheLostKooper. Main reason I am a fan of raocow (don't need capitalism right?) was because of SomeGuy712x, and he was a "relative" of raocow. I also like the contests here. (Seems like that's the main reason everyone's joining...) I'm also active on other forums across the big world in the Internet. I hope this forum will greet me greatly!

Oh, I've never played the MMO FFs.

I have beat I through VIII (+ Mystic Quest), and I'm currently playing IX.
That's gotta count for something?

Before you ask, I played the Dawn of Souls version of FF2, that's how I managed to stomach it
It says something when I don't think I could play more than like an hour per day of FF2 FC, yet I played the shit out of FF2 GBA, beating it in three days.

Seriously, ditching the "do thing 100 times to raise level" thingy and replacing it with exp. bars for each weapon type and magic improves the level-up system in so many ways.

I'm a big SaGa fan, so I find weapon type and magic type level-up systems like this to be kinda neat!
Secret of Mana's bored me to death, still.

Lack of good grinding places, even the strongest enemies at the Mana Fortress started giving you shit exp with like Lv6 weapons, no joke.
The highest they can go up to is 9 (to be more precise, 8.99), by the way.

and don't get me started on grinding magic, grinding lumina to knock out dark lich easily with purim's lucent beam was a fucking PITA

I registered here for some time, but I just decided to whip up a post now, and I'll try to at least fit in as time goes on. I've always been a fan of raocow's LPs, including the playthroughs he does every year of the VLDCs, so that's one of the main factors that brought me here. I hope for my stay to be as enjoyable as possible!

The intent was for it to sorta function as both, ha ha.
Space Harrier was more on my mind tho, that game is just mega up my alley.

Hello friend, I am also a newbie here. My name is Gema Gema, which my first name is Gema, but I repeated it just because I like that name scheme for my profile. I discovered raocow in 2014 and only just recently found out of Talkhaus. It is immensely fun to have this fun board to talk about raocow's videos that he makes about video games. I really love his Startropics videos because I never heard or seen that game because it never published in my country. But oh well, It can be emulated on my computer. :)

Oh, so you're really new, then. Welcome to this odd little world! :D I started watching raocow in 2008, so I'm definitely not new to him, just the talky talk-place. I'm glad you enjoy talking on here-- I'm kinda iffy about forums. They're too slow-paced for my taste. Half the time I forget I posted somewhere and never go there again.
