I pester my cat all the time, just cause it is a lot of amusing to annoy the hell out of her. It's all in good fun and if she does get too annoyed, I leave her be.

I bet some other females of the raocow fanbase would be inclined to agree, haha.
On a more hilarious, albeit slightly spooky note, my roommate's mom stays with us every few weeks or so. She put up these Christmas bell lights leading to the downstairs, where her and her boyfriend stay. They haven't been with us for a few days though, and today we went downstairs to check on their things and found out that those bells play music. because the lights were blinking and playing some sort of Christmas tune, when they're normally just a constantly on.
Her mom hasn't been here for a few days, and neither of us have been downstairs during that time. Even if someone was, it's a pretty solid button you have to hit a few times to get them to blink that way and a different switch to get it to play music. It's not like someone just happened to brush against it to get it to do that.

My cat is annoying so I think it's only fair I get to annoy him in return. We have a mutual understanding

That sounds like my cat. Woke up from a nap to find out she decided to shred some newspaper that I use the line my cockatiel's cage.
Sigh.

I like to sometimes spook my cat a little by just saying "BOO!" semi-loudly when he's sitting on my lap. He gets over it a couple seconds later if I pet him a little again, and a cat's spooked expression is basically the best thing ever. (Next to fluffiness mmmmm)

Sometimes at my girlfriend's house, I'll wait for her cats to get nice and comfortable...and then start playing her drum kit. Or mash notes on the piano. Both are fun.
Her cats are weird though. One of them loves playing in water and will try to steal people's broccoli.

My cat gets super excited when you chase her around the house. She loves it. I swear you can see fire trails behind her when she really gets into it.

Does anybody who owns only a single cat ever refer to it by its actual name? I know I don't.

Well, the video is more than three years old and that phone has since bit the dust.

Mine gets called either by her name, or one of her two nicknames(Furball and Cabbit). Largely depends on what she's doing at the time.

My mother was brilliant and named our cat Big Boy. I just call him Biggun because holy hell does Big Boy sound awkward to call out loud for various reasons.
The owners before us had a better name overall I think. Leon.

I can understand calling a cat by its name if you have two, but if you have one why bother
Actually, if I had >1 I probably wouldn't either.

Well, that just seems rude. My family's one cat is always called by name.

We do have two but they're never really in the same room/vicinity because reasons, but even if that wasn't the case I would still call them by their names instead of what I think you're suggesting. "Cat" would just be weird.
