I'm selling for 24. Buy from me, not him.

The intense Duopoly price-differentiation war on "second hand Xbox 360 + stuff"s continues heatedly. Does Frozelar dare to go any lower with bankruptcy looming over him as the umbra of a solar eclipse?

Find out next time

Does Gamestop even give anything other than in store credit? Last time I checked they didn't give actual money for stuff.
Also, yeah. You're going to get ripped off there regardless. Try selling it on your own. A local buying/selling site would probably do you best cause you can set your own price and get your pay directly.

Nice.

That story makes me really happy considering how much I hate how much Gamestop gives for trade-ins.

My local Gamestop is nice enough to give me most of the game advertisement stuff (posters, stand ups, boxes)

I've once got a couple of PS2 gems that way. Some guy brought in Dark Cloud and one of the .hack titles while I was there and they offered him two bucks per game (note: GameStop, or EB Games here, absolutely hates PS2 games and it's rare that they'll even accept them to begin with). I offered the guy $10 for both at the counter and he agreed.

I didn't get the stink eye, but rather a full on scowl and head shake.

Well, I just had a customer say to me "You must be using Tide or Gain to wash your clothes because you smell good!"

I don't know what freaks me out more: the fact she asked that or the fact she's right!

One time I went to EB Games (for some reason Game Stop is called EB Games in Canada) and a guy working there just gave me a Tecmo Bowl shirt. I'm not sure why. It was really big, and it's actually still too big for me (it was like probably like 2007 or so) but I still have it.

Looking at Ashan's and Insane's avatar right under one another while listening to some energetic music is a surprisingly pleasant view.

Winter for southern Arizona means an extremely nice temperature just barely edging into a tiny bit chilly.

It is nice as all hell for one season out of the year. And then it rises back into hellfire on Earth.

So yiss, I am enjoying the winter for here, whereas everybody else is dreading it. Feel free to point and laugh in August when I'm dying.

I used to live in northern Arizona though! They actually do get snowfall up in Flagstaff, and that was neat as a kid of course.

Holy moley you're right!
That's pretty cool, they should avatar-swap every now and then like Ashan did with Alex once.

That's not even that bad, Alex. You make it sound so bad and over here we're having a nice winter and it's worse than that. Y'all are babies.

We didn't really swap. I just said "first person to PM me an avatar I'll use it for a while" and Alex and someone else PMed me like a few seconds apart so I ended up using his Nitori porn avatar and the one boss from Zelda which I can't remember the name of right now for some reason.

That reminds me seeing people complain on FB about a month ago complaining about the ice storms and the weather, and then seeing a picture of my choir director ice fishing in below -40C weather without a care in the world. The cold doesn't usually bother me too much, but that doesn't really seem appealing to me.

(Also, just want to add that Brahms wrote amazing, beautiful, impossible-to-sing music. That jerk.)

I swear, you guys talk about weather half of the time in this thread.
California’s okay, but then again, it always is. S’why we can’t handle any mildly extreme weather.
mildly extreme? does that make sense?

Still yet to get any snow here in England.

Lots of flooding though.

It snowed a little the other day, but sadly it didn't settle. The ground was too wet already from all that flooding.
I like it when it snows. It's all the melting snow I don't like... and the horrible slushy stuff that you get when snow is kinda melting but kinda not. This sentence made perfect sense!

Living in western Washington state, winter means we have highs of 40°f and nighttime lows of 30°f, whereas in the summer we have highs of 70°f. Suck it. There's like, one or two weeks a year it even gets cold enough for snow to stick around, and one or two weeks a year it gets above 90 degrees.

Have I mentioned that I really love Cascadian* weather? Yeah, "mostly cloudy" is a permanent state of affairs, but the weather is so damn mild that you can walk outside and be comfortable on literally any day of the year. Even our frequent rain is mild -- it doesn't pour down torrentially, it just kind of fizzes lightly so you end up damp but not soaked.

While the rest of the country is having this double polar vortex thing, we're hardly noticing it, because the pacific ocean basically absorbs all temperature fluctuations.

(*cascade region is western oregon, western washington, western BC. The cascade mountain range runs through the middle of these states and that province, and it's sitting between that and the ocean that gives us our superpowers.)
