It's shaped like an oven mitt or a mutant Jutland, although there's also a second part that's actually in Canada or something, but you don't have to worry about that because it's entirely populated by trees.InsaneIntentions1 wrote:Tell me the things I need to know about Michigan before I move

Re: bitter dread
As a Texan who spends his summers up in Michigan (Pentwater, to be precise), the weather's much nicer up there than it is down here -- good beach weather, but as a downside there's also more mosquitoes. I'm told the winters are pretty bad, too.
Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, we go blueberry-picking at least once every summer and my grandfather used to pick raspberries and cherries from bushes he'd find while driving around. As far as restaraunts go, Tony's, Ponderosa Steakhouse and Mancino's are pretty great and if you ever find yourself in Pentwater be sure to check out the House of Flavors and the Brown Bear.
Also, Mackinac Island fudge.
and mackinac island in general I guess but srsly try the fudge

Ehhhh, I'll probably always like my great-grandma's recipe more.Rockythechao wrote:mackinac island in general I guess but srsly try the fudge
But Mackinac fudge is really good, I'll give it that.
In general it was a really nice vacation when I went there. The bike trails were nice. Good fudge. Horses are neat. And there's a small arcade with some good machines.
Only down was that none of the places we got food at were particularly good.
Tip: If anyone going there wants to get a look at the inside of the Grand Hotel without paying the $10 admission, my family was able to just pretend like they had a room and nobody noticed. "Just act like you belong" they said.
Buuut when I went they actually asked... so I just went around the back and nobody was even there to bother.
Super easy.
Heck, this goes for a good number of places like that.

Re: bitter dread
So I've started to play Pokemon Sun, and what I've played so far is good, but holy hell the tutorial part of the game takes forever. I'm over 2 hours in and still haven't completely finished the tutorial part of the game.
As for my starter, I picked Litten. I know, his final evo looks dumb, but at the same time, his moveset is killer. I normally pick the water starter, but while Popplio isn't a bad starter by any means, it just doesn't seem like my cup of tea.

Ugh. It took us a month to move my grandmother's stuff from the city to the county here when she moved in with us, and that was just a twenty mile trip or so. Good luck with everything.InsaneIntentions1 wrote:I wish I had enough money to ship my stuff up with me, but I don't have $900 to spare :(
