I'm pretty sure a lot of fan-fic would violate the basic physical laws of any conceivable universe.

someone had to conceive these universes to write their stories, though.

I managed to fix something on my computer without having any idea how.

Which is actually kind of frustrating.

Next time you start throwing around solutions, please - as a favor to yourself - write down somewhere what you did. You'll thank you later.

I am in fact the same supposedly working person who didn't get "Canterlot" for about three years.
Shouldn't this be in the epiphanies thread? lol

Speaking of Sponge Bob Square pants and other cartoons, its surprising how many adult jokes were slipped in. There's humorous puns like Bikini Bottom or Sandy Cheeks, but there's also ones that are outright sexual like Chum Bucket or Krusty Krab. Of course, shows like Rockos Modern Life and Ren and Stumpy are much worse. Rocko is essentially the king of hiding dirty jokes in a kids show and several episodes were cut or even banned for blatant sexual humor (one of the banned episodes involves Mrs Bighead seducing Rocko). I like clever puns and jokes, but I'm kinda bothered by the fact that shows meant for kids are full of inappropriate humor, even if it goes over most kids heads

The creator of Rock didn't even want to make a kids show. Also most of the people who worked on Rocko helped create spongebob.

Shortly before Spongebob was created, Tom Kenny (the voice of Spongebob and Heffer Wolfe from Rocko's Modern Life) was on a sketch comedy show starring David Cross and Bob Odenkirk called Mr Show. They even did a spiritual successor to it on Netflix last year called w/ Bob and David, and he had a few cameos in that as well.
There was a lot of great humor in the early seasons of Spongebob. Kinda sad that it's suffering from Simpsons syndrome.

This is a dumb question out of nowhere, but did TV Tropes' popularity just sort of go away in the last year or two? I remember when a lot of those pages, especially the LP ones, were kept up to date.

Obligatory announcement that Randomized Platinum starts in 40 minutes on Twitch Plays Pokémon and that the first 3-4 hours of any run - especially random ones - are generally complete hilarious wipefests and also have historically involved such fantastic scenarios as starting out with Truant Machop against really strong Route 1 Pikachu :T

It's about ten times less of a thing than watching Bob Ross on Twitch now, but that show rules normally. Just watch it on YT so you can skip Twitch chat. Seriously, that dude could do so much work on a canvas in thirty minutes.

Spoilers if you haven't seen the latest Pokémon Sun/Moon trailer:
I can understand divergent evolution leading to Giraffe!Exeggcutor, but Vulpix/Ninetails being ice, despite hella adorbs, just doesn't seem right. And wouldn't Sandshrew/Sandslash become Iceshrew and Iceslash?
Granted, they're not unique species since clearly they can still mate with the Asiatic variants, but at that point what's the point of having twenty-some different kinds of Eevee?

Add them to your foe list? You'll still see that they've posted, but you won't see what they post (unless you really, really want to).

I feel like the existence of this thread might discourage people from making threads because if you've got some dumb bullshit to say why make your own thread when you could just post it here?

Re: Twitter Thread

Because sometimes you want to continue discussing the bullshit even after the thread direction changes.

On the other hand, if you post stuff like that in this thread there's a higher chance of people seeing it. There's a lot of people (such as myself) that only keep up with subscribed threads and pay little to no attention to other threads. So much so in my case that I'll frequently forget to subscribe to the new thread when raocow starts a new game for at least a couple of days before I realize it.
