Re: Twitter Thread
Don't you just love it in when your internet is so weak to can barely do anything with it so you go to a library to post in a thread about how your internet is so weak that you had to go post in a library to post about it?
(Basically I was only able to barely view talkhaus with my internet at home, and that happens to be the only thing I can do with the internet.... and the site looked weird. It was basically all text and a lot of it was bulleted.)

Help, my computer is having this problem where when it gets to the users screen, it's all black and only my cursor shows up. I can hear the little startup jingle but after that, it softlocks. Safe mode doesn't do shit and I don't know what to try anymore.

my school has on some of its class rule things "no plagiarism! this includes doing work from other classes"
i think they only wanted a set number of rules so lumped two completely unrelated things into one

Re: Twitter Thread
That seems to be a thing now. There's that "all about the bass" song that's apparently really progressive and about body acceptance but I'm pretty sure half the lyrics are talking about "skinny bitches" and how "men only like women with curves" and whatnot so the whole thing is pretty ironic considering people are treating it like the saviour for the body acceptance movement.Septentrion Pleiades wrote:My school assignment just said that skinny women are imaginary and are not real women. Fun fact: You can promote body acceptance without insulting people that aren't overweight.

this reminds of when my computer decided to pretend I had a dual monitor set-up, which I basically fixed by blindly fishingin the 'monitor' on the side, but I don't remember how I fixed this...Clamestarebla wrote:Help, my computer is having this problem where when it gets to the users screen, it's all black and only my cursor shows up. If Mario has taught me anything, it's that most things rely on whether there's something good in a nearby box.

Re: Twitter Thread
it's true that ideally nobody should be insulted, but (and i am speaking as an underweight person here) 1) skinny people never get insulted in any other contexts so it does not really harm anybody while it helps a lot more, and 2) i would suggest looking up the actual lyrics to that song to see where that line's context is. i have actually only heard of this song once in my entire life but it was talking about the context for that line and spoiler: it is ironic (unless i was reading lies)
it is not the best for its purpose i would agree, but its not the worst either, yo

Can you get task manager to come up? If so you might try ending the explorer.exe task and then clicking file->new task and typing in explorer.exe. I've had a similar issue happen on occasion on my previous build and that always fixed it for me.Clamestarebla wrote:Help, my computer is having this problem where when it gets to the users screen, it's all black and only my cursor shows up. Re: Twitter Thread
While this is basically true, what should be combatted regardless is the "us & them" mindset, because setting it up as a dichotomy only leads to conflict and shaming no matter which side is seen as "good".Leet wrote:skinny people never get insulted in any other contexts so it does not really harm anybody while it helps a lot more
I feel like I could be wording this better but I'm too lazy to change anything so yeah.
