Apparently, my phone says I walked eight miles the other day. Makes sense because I went out for a long walk with a short jog mixed in that night. No wonder my legs are stiff as can be today.

Had my first job interview today.

It was over Webex, and I had to do a programming exercise which would have been fine but they had me remote into a guy's desktop and there was literally like 5 seconds of delay. They said I wasn't expected to finish the question anyway, but I felt kind of embarrassed with how little I got done in what felt like a long amount of time. I'm not necessarily saying I would have done it easily without thinking if I was on my own, but the mix of it being an interview with the fact that I was blindly typing to a computer then waiting 5 seconds to see if it did what I wanted (it didn't a lot of the time) made it impossible to get a train of thought going.

So, there's this game called Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead. It's a roguelike with a post-apocalypse setting, open world sandbox, survival-type game. Zombies and other creatures fitting for an apocalypse... like Triffids.

On this other forum that's focused on the game, a dude offered to draw the player character of the posters there, and I was first in line, and here's the result.

Yesterday I did an interview for a software dev position at a digital marketing solutions company through my university's co-op program. The interview went pretty well I think, and I got a call about an hour ago to set up for a technical interview tomorrow.

It seems like a really cool company so I'd really like to get the position.
