I don't remember the details of the initial codehaus conversation, but I made a throwaway joke about asking to have my name changed to something really long and Horikawa was all "yeah I can totally do that if you like" so I just decided, screw it, let's go for it.

It was only meant to be for a week or so and I didn't expect Willhart to follow suit. Feel free to change mine back to plain ol' rockythechao.

So uh hey I don't suppose anybody browsing this thread would happen to have any experience with SD capture cards? I am In the Market for one but don't know the consensus on which is The Best Choice.
(If it's important, I most immediately mean to capture from a GameCube but will likely in the future have an interest in capturing from an N64 as well - also a Wii U and PS3 but that's a whole other department. I have two sets of S-Video cables coming - one for each because I'm lazy and don't wanna swap the cables around - but also already have a Wii with component cables and a component-capable GameCube with a Game Boy Player.)

Elgato Game Capture HD. If I'm not mistaken it works well with older consoles, too. I've used it with my PS3 and PS2. Captures nicely, the program is easy to work with. I recommend it.
I don't know if the newer HD60 works with older consoles or not, though, so I recommend looking into that.

The heck actually is that A/V in? It doesn't quite look like an S-Video - plus S-Video is only video and that is an A/V in - but I don't know what else it would be.
That aside I do know offhand that the HD60 is only HD, and that Pyro uses it and it is good and therefore I should get it when the time comes for HD streamthing.

Ooh, I've not heard of that one. One of the reviewers says it can do 59.94fps too - can you confirm? None of the ones I was finding seemed able to do it themselves.
