Re: Twitter Thread
Anybody have recommendations for budget (under $30) headphones? Mine ($20-ish Sonys, possibly made more for looks than durability) spontaneously borked after about two years so I'm seeing if there's another model that might last a bit longer.

Have you considered just buying thirty $1 pairs of earbuds? I'm sure those will last like at least a couple weeks.Whimsical Calamari wrote:Anybody have recommendations for budget (under $30) headphones? Those look pretty nice. I'll admit I prefer on-ear to over-ear, but it's nice to know that a brand like Sennheiser has something below absolute premium prices.pholtos wrote:I'm currently using these.
"Bass-driven" worries me though. Hopefully there's not too much for my taste, but if I get them I guess I'll see.

http://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=8323 Get these fellas and never look back, they're flat and perfect for casual listening and in my case music making. There's lots of bonuses with these like a detachable cord that's easy to replace and even an industrial length second cord that you could walk all around a room in and never run out of cord haha.
They're over-the-ear as well but if you're willing to deal with thaaaaat.
Every musician I've seen pick these up with experience with different headphones says they're supremely surprised at the sound, saying that it should be coming from a headset that's more in the 50-60$ range.

The more I think about it, I think Kirby might be perfect, in the way that I can't think of anything explicitly wrong, unpleasant, or bad about the main games.

They're certainly not audiophile quality, but they're really cheap, and the sound quality is WAY above anything in their price range that I've ever seen.
Plus they're durable as all hell in my experience, sans the adjustments which get loose over time, but not too loose as to be a problem. I once left them out in the rain for like 20 minutes, brought them in and let them dry a bit. Still work as good as ever.
Going on 3 years now with them.

Re: Twitter Thread
My neighbors seem to have a party like at least every other day on average. It's annoying as hell but they don't give a shit unless the cops get off their asses and tell them to quit it. And then they only give a shit simply because they don't want a fine for breaking the noise ordinance. They'll blame whoever called the cops for it despite the fact they'll complain if their neighbors are loud themselves.jayScribble wrote:Has anyone have the situation that your neighbors are loud at least 3 nights in a row?

Re: Twitter Thread
I never really got noisy neighbors. I've had people who have noisy parties from time to time, but our neighbors over the years have mostly been older folks so that probably helps.
On another note, I should probably visit a therapist but I'm too dumb to speak up about how I feel to my parents.

Re: Twitter Thread
I don't have noisy neighbors but what I do have apparently are neighbors who will leave backpacks full of contraband on the side of my family's house for "safekeeping" and then have the fucking gall to ask my dad for the backpack after he turned it over to the cops. like, dude, if your friend you were allegedly holding this for is gonna be upset, maybe be upset at your friend for telling you to hold onto a backpack full of bombs for them

Y'all haven't experienced annoying noisy neighbors until you hear Vietnamese Karaoke.
Other than the fact it's one of the worst forms of music you can imagine, it happens. Every. Single. Night. Of. THE YEAR.

f(x) = x(1/2) + 4
IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW
I never understood why the "y" variable was sometimes substituted for "f(x)". But wow the real-life application really does just scream so much.
Code: Select all
