Does anyone know much about how Kickstarter works?
I decided to finally pledge $49 to the RED ASH Kickstarter because they upped the goal of the project, making it for the prologue + the full game or something? Seemed a little silly that it was just a prologue before, but hopefully this isn't just dumb semantics they added out of desperation. Regardless, they say if you pledge $49 today, you'll get the full game at a discounted price, since it will go up to $79 for this reward starting tomorrow. So does that mean that since I pledged $49 I can just assume they'll know to upgrade my tier on their end? Cause there's not a set tier reward that I could select that would give me the full game.

I also don't know if I should pay the money pledged to my card immediately or not cause it's like... a theoretical payment if the project gets funded. I usually like to pay for charges to my card immediately but I guess I don't need to right now cause I might not be charged if the project isn't funded?

They should have a record of precisely when you pledged the money. It's on them to make sure you get what you were promised, which, at the relevant time, was the respective reward for paying $49.

This is, of course, if the project is funded.

Considering trying out doing an lp. I don't really have a strong enough computer for recording most things I regularly play ( ... although I'm not really sure if doto of LoL would really count as lps anyway ), though, and I'd have to go with voiceless commentary anyway, so I'm considering doing a screenshot lp over a video one.

I'm considering MMBN2, though I'm not sure. I'd really rather not doing something too long or text-heavy, because I started an attempt at an lp before and fatigue set in immediately. Any suggestions?

Personal take is that anything with a videogame + commentary counts as an LP, and indeed those games have huge scenes for videomaking. (Though this might actually be a detriment for anybody wanting to break into those communities for there being a lot of competition on the video side, many people more skilled/more funny than a newcomer)

But they would be terrible for screenshot or text LPs, yes, haha.
