Wow, I just remembered a book series I read as a kid; "The Seventh Tower".

Why isn't light magic not depicted as awesome or more often?

If by New Mario U you mean New Super Mario Bros. U, then Super Mario 3D World should be on your get list cause it's pretty fun. Also Wind Waker HD if you never played Wind Waker before. Or if you have and liked it.

3D World is miles better than NSMB U btw, definitely get that one first. Hell don't even get NSMB U. Don't support mediocrity.

Pikmin 3 and Captain Toad. I feel like I already recommended this stuff just now but whatever haha.

NSMBU isn't necessarily bad, it's just if you play NSMBWii then you've played NSMBU.

If you at all like Devil May Cry style games, Bayonetta 2 is a must have. Plus it comes with Bayonetta 1 so two games for the price of one.

I haven't played 2 yet, but from what everyone tells me, and based on whatI've played of 1, it's SUPER good.
Only problem is the lack of customizable controls, which isn't really that bad since it's still a well designed control scheme. Easy to get used to, it's just that I get my punches and kicks backward a lot because it's the opposite of how I play Soul Calibur. (Don't ask why that of all things is bleeding through, I don't know.)

* 3D World is one of the best Mario platformers in a while.
* I picked up Hyrule Warriors mostly on a friend's recommendation without having played any Dynasty Warriors and think it's pretty rad.
* Wonderful 101 is great and pretty much always inexplicably cheap.

Get DKC: Tropical Freeze if you haven't, fantastic game.
Uh...Do I just sign here? What do you mean it should be obvious? There are people in this world...well...a whole lot of people that can't follow basic instructions!

Maiku could probably own the entire steam catalog for himself if he didn't spend so much on others at this rate haha.

I'm going to make the baseless assumption that somebody has already recommended Mario Kart 8 to you, given how ubiquitous it is. Also it's pretty fun, although you are likely to destroy friendships over it.

I highly recommend playing split screen multiplayer on the smallest tv you can get a hold of.

Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Hyrule Warriors, NES Remix Pack (Retail version of NES Remix 1 & 2), Pikmin 3, Lego City Undercover, Captain Toad Treasure, and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.

That's a good start. Funnily enough, I haven't played the last handful on my own list, but I've seen them enough to know they're worth it. Editing out MK8 since you're tired of the series. Fair enough.
