How long of a video are you posting that it's taking this long to upload and then screwing up? I recorded a 16 second long video with Fraps while I was playing Arkham Asylum a week or 2 ago and I was too lazy to run it through Vegas, but since Fraps likes to make their videos as stupidly big as possible, the upload took a few hours (the file was something like 450MB).

Anyway, I never had any problems once it finished. Are you sure it's not your bandwidth that's the problem, cause I haven't had any problems with YouTube's uploader lately.

I still haven't forgotten, ya know. I actually still have a playable demo that I never released. I went back and tried to work on it a bit awhile back but forgot how I actually did anything. I hate just giving up though so who knows, maybe some day it'll actually see some progress again!

It was an ca. 9 Minute long Video, recorded with Fraps and Convertet with Any Video Converter. It has at the End an Site of 782 MB. The Original Fraps one has an Size of 16,7 GB.
But really... i have no Idea, what was wrong there yesterday. So the Re-Upload works now actually Fine.
My only problem with my HD-Videos are is this weid Dorble-Loob on the Video. So it takes twice the lenght and after the end of the original once he will loop it the Video without Sound. So i need to Cut the other half everytime out per Youtube. But that isnt actually really the Problem.

Seems more like an Fragment-Error by youtube himself. Because he used the Upload like an Torrent-Data...

I've been getting emails from YTV for the past, like, 8 years or so. I don't know why I haven't unsubscribed yet.

I've been using the same email since 2nd grade. It has the word "megaman" in it.

Thanks. It was Chem 101, but it is harder to do well in that class than it is to do well in Organic Chem (according to the upperclassmen).

That doesn't seem logical. Organic is one of the more difficult parts of chemistry because of the hundreds of possible mechanisms and such. Only theoretical chemistry is harder but that's because maths and quantum mechanics specifically is awful (imo).

@kilon

That's what I would have thought too, yet my university is actually similar to ultratowel112's in that respect. I took General Chemistry last year, and am in Organic this year. I can honestly say that Organic is easier (at least for me). General Chemistry seemed to concentrate more on the mathematical aspects, whereas Organic seems more analytical so far, and that comes easier for me.

If you want analytical, do analytical Chemistry. I do that. You still need a good amount of knowledge of reaction mechanics (especially in mass spec) but you aren't required to know all synthesis routes. And if we need to know something, we just look it up. In my master all exams are open book exams after all, there is no need to learn pointless facts.
When you think about chemistry you think about making things in the lab and that is organic (or inorganic).
For the mathematical part, everything has some maths, it's a science after all, but it isn't that bad unless you go the theoretical route.
But ofcourse it's intertwined in a way that you get the best of all worlds, just with most focus on the specialisation you choose.

That is, if you want to continue in the chemistry. But I'm always confused with the American scholar system. Over here in university you choose a subject and all courses are part of that subject, but in America you have majors and minors right? So that even in uni you still can follow general and completely different courses. Like chemistry, English and psychology. Or am I confusing it with something else?

And in case Hollywood hasn't ruined the face of gaming enough yet, I bring you:
noobz
A movie about... Competitive... Gears of War...

When I first saw this trailer I thought it was a joke. It's not, sadly. The Adam Sandler trailer voice-over guy is way too hard to take seriously. It seems like one of those parody trailers. Just listen to the way he says "noobz" at the end. How can you take that seriously?

But, yeah... This should be good.

I think my biggest issue was just that the class was pretty broad, but that's not really a fault because it is a 101 class. There was some stuff that I understood and could do (a lot of the QM stuff), but there was other stuff that I just couldn't get (such as this). However, the QM stuff was less significant to the course than the other stuff. The "pointless facts" were what I was having trouble with because our tests were not open book.

If I took Organic, I would probably think it was harder, but I don't know what we cover in that class. I think the average on exams for Organic is higher than Gen Chem, but that's not hard to do when your Gen Chem lecturer says that they (the group of lecturers) want the average to be around a 55. The low exam average is probably why the upperclassmen remember it being harder. It was also a lot of work - I think I spent as much time working on Gen Chem than I did for my other classes combined.

In other news, the "error in transferring grades from Blackboard to the grading system" made it look like I had an A in Calc II. It was actually a B+...

But.. IR is fun.. It's just a little puzzle. Same goes for every other analytical method (LC/GC, MS, NMR, UV-Vis, Raman etc. and their hyphenated combinations). Although it's true that some puzzles are more easy than others. Especially when you can neglect certain isomers.
For me, there is enough organic chemistry in MS where you must be able to interpret fragments and make use of rearrangement reactions and radical reactions.

But to each their own. Congrats on passing Calc II. Maybe a bit disappointing for you now, but I would have killed for such a high grade. Worst. Course. Ever.

I completely agree! Also you're correct about majors and minors. For example, I'm majoring in biology but also have a chemistry minor.

Let me reiterate - doing them when I had the table in front of me was alright. It was when we couldn't use the table and we didn't do anything even close to that for more than a month that I had trouble. Seeing a peak at 2600/cm, looking for it on a table, and seeing O-H is fine: seeing a peak at 2900/cm, having to remember that it is either C-H or O-H (after focusing entirely on QM), and trying to reason something out in your head to determine which one is a little more difficult. I will admit that I obviously didn't study as much for that stuff before the final as I should have, but I assumed (at the time) that there would have been more points on the final about the stuff we covered since the last exam (probably a bad assumption). Oh well, no more chem class unless I switch to biomedical.

I'm a little upset at myself for how close to A-/A it was. By my calculation (which is off because I don't know the class averages for the first exam and the final), I got about a 3.5 in the class - above a B+, but not quite high enough for an A-. I got one thing wrong on the final, which I knew walking out of the room, but I remembered how to do that problem as soon as I walked into my dorm.

Oh, and then I missed my train home. We pulled in just as Amtrak pulled out. My travelling partner and I looked at each other, then realized that we had to find a way home. Luckily, there were still open seats for a train the next day and we were reimbursed for our old tickets.

Well, I've finally upgraded to a new computer. I'm hoping Windows 8 isn't as bad as I've heard, but then again, there aren't many applications I really use on my computer. But we'll see if it's good enough for recording games or not soon enough.

From what a friend tells me, W8 isn't bad, it just has a big learning curve to get over before you can really appreciate it.

The biggest thing for me, though, and what's been the factor that's scared me away from upgrading is compatibility issues. I have lots of stuff that I'm worried won't work properly on W8.

So far most of my stuff works fine on Windows 8. Except Skype. It runs on some new version that doesn't have a few features, such as downloading files sent to you or editing messages you already sent.

But so far the things I tried (GIMP, some Steam games, Winamp, SMBX, Audacity) just ran on the Desktop app just fine.

I'm noticing things on the compatibility issues. I'm just hoping Camtasia 7 works on this thing because that's the program I generally use for recording.
