Hey, bumping this up because it got suggested in the Twitter thread the other day, and there's a bunch of new people who might like to share their faces. Here's an old-ish picture of me trying to test my webcam. (Cannot be bothered to make a recent one.) Image quality is, obviously, quite poor.

Honestly, in that photo, I look a little more like your avatar. Same narrow, glare-y eyes. And roughly the same haircut. And the aside glance. That's... actually quite weird.

I won't even mention my attempt at a "song parody" I did once. It's still on YouTube but it's privatised, lest it go viral or something like that.
I will, however, post my first ever YouTube video as it's so uninteresting and stupid that I barely care any more.

Also, pretty much all of my early posts on the Talkhaus (and some recent ones) make me sick to my stomach. Especially my posts in "the raocow" thread.

I usually beat myself down in shame before I even publicize the stuff I could feel shameful about, but yeah. There's of course a lot of things still on the internet that I cringe heavily about. It's most annoying when those things randomly pop up in my head during the day and I have to think (for at least 5 minutes) about what a stupid prick I was.

Having shame is a good thing though imo. It shows that you can recognize mistakes and are also willing to improve beyond them. Ain't saying that feeling shame is pleasant of course, but to me, seeing someone being honestly embarrassed about something shows that they're a better person than many others already.

Get on my level. I was on public forums at the age of 8.
And the posts would still be there for anyone to see, if they had the misfortune to stumble upon them.

Protip: Almost anything you do or say can look stupid from some angle and will look that way at some point in the future or in someone's view. Therefore, either don't make too much of a fuss about it or... well, there's only one final solution.
