The suspended channel message now says something about "policies prohibiting gaming".
I'd assume it's just an awkward typo and they mean gambling, except they're actually going for major LP channels now.
German LP'er Deathmic (12k subscribers) got the axe today after someone reported an old audio-less FF8 timelapse video.

I can't believe this false flagging garbage is still going on.
It's been an issue since 2010 and Google's still completely ignorant of it.

I've noticed with the new player they got rid of the "watch later" button. Which annoys me. I have to go back to the sub hub and click watch later from there.

But does that honestly surprise you?

Sidenote: Question: Ignorant, or just doesn't give a damn?

I think they don't care. They'll protect their big name YouTubers with 1 million subscribers or more and everyone else is left to fend for themselves in their crock of shit copyright system

That was actually rhetorical, but yeah, pretty much.

I think it's the case of them not caring, not putting the effort and/or cost in moderating the content, and/or not wanting to get involve in legal stuff/trouble (which is rather complicated), especially if it involves foreign countries.

He got unblocked, and the ban was mainly for mass uploading his own twitch streams. Which is apparently not considered a legitimate way to use youtube?!

hmm did they fused the problemtube-thread with this one or is the thread moved to the graveyard? Whatever, ill post is there.

I have a weird problem on my Youtube-Acc with the Subscription list i have in the Navigations. You all actually know on the Subs-Part there, when the Youtuber makes a new video or announcement, that there will be then a small grey number right next to the Channels Name. Well the thing is: I can't remove the little grey Number on around 10 subscriptions in aby way. I turned off ABP and NoScript, Deleted Cookies, refreshed the Page a 100 Times and also changed to the IE Browser quickly for that. They still staying there like there is nothing. But on some other Subs i have the grey Number goes away without any Problem in the same time.

Does someone know what the Problem is? A helpful userscript would help probaly too that can do a "Mark all Subscription notes as Read" or in some way.

The name of the thread was changed for some reason. It's still complaining about youtube though.

I don't know if it's a consistent problem with other people, but the number still lingers for me. Normally, clicking on the channel name usually removes it, but it's inconsistent on which one does that thing.

Maybe they didn't want copying (from his own channel) or maybe cross-posting videos and wasting space?

Yeah I changed it to what it was like 500 years ago because people were talking about game grumps. Then that stopped and nobody seemed to care

Looks like YouTube Gaming will be a thing soon. Some real competition for Twitch.

Should be interesting.

It looks like Youtube has cleared my message history? I cannot find any of the old sent or received private messages anymore. Are they moved somewhere or gone forever?

The latest youtube update...... Has disabled comment sections randomly

I have sent them feedback and they have not replied. Can't help feeling as though they don't read feedback.

They still work for me. I wonder if it's a regional update or something.

They have still not fixed a super obvious translation error on the Finnish version on the site, even though I've notified about it twice. I don't think the feedback system is working as it should. The mistake has been there for over a year now.

Sorry, I meant an android update, pc is still OK

It's even showing my own videos as having comments disabled, which I know is untrue

wait that's why the thread was named that?

funny how that happens

I do all my NES and Game Boy videos on 480x360 (4:3) format to make it look cleaner while also not taking forever to upload. For some reason, this was the first time I've ever been forced to use the "yt:stretch=4:3" tag to get one to look right. It's a minor thing, but it wasn't like that back in March when I was finishing up the SMB2 videos. Go figure. Well, time to keep uploading them privately until I'm ready to go again with things. Just thought it was strange that something I've done for years just suddenly became too complicated for YT to handle.

I have mixed feelings about this particular change. On one hand, I think it's a lot more practical much of the time. On the other hand, it makes descriptions even less prominent and I personally think descriptions are of too low prominence overall in the UI as it is.
