I've never really seen the point in infinite/diagonal/horizontal bomb jumping. You don't need it anywhere, and I can't think of anywhere it's really useful.

There's a lot of places you can otherwise only reach via grapple. Or in one case, a possible short-charge horizontal shinespark. Abandoned ship access without either of those, maybe?

I always liked the idea of low percent runs or whatever, or being able to do stuff in games without being 100% required to gain cool abilities or items, so I like bomb jumping.

I'd rather use the short-charge horizontal shinespark. You can do a 14% run with the speed booster if you miss the ice beam. I only collect the grappling beam on 100% runs.
