Why is raocow called raocow?

Where did raocow get his name? Did he even get it from anywhere or did he make it up on the spot?

I'm paraphrasing from something I read like years ago, but if I recall correctly, him and his friend in school came up with a character called "Mr. Rao" or something like that and I think he started using "rao" as an online handle but when he signed up for SomethingAwful it was already taken so he just tacked the phonetic rhyme onto the end, "cow"

Someone can correct me, he probably has a post on it somewhere on this forum
